A demo will be at least a month after the retail release. If you check out the Sins forums, you can ask the beta testers about it. Sins isn't some click-fest, twitchy RTS; it allows you to seriously think about strategy and has more depth than any RTS I'm aware of.
Ok, I am beginning to be sold on this. How is the AI? Is it a non-cheating AI that plays by the same rules as the player?

I am pretty sure it's cheating - I just want to know to what extent. The dev did mention it was being "helped".
I am waiting to see what they say about AI cheating...answers slow in coming, so still waiting.
I think most of us would probably argue that this isn't a "bug" at all Even the developers know this is a bug, and have said as much - how do these kind of statements originate is beyond me.
Frogboy shouldn't have to respond on a holiday, the fact he was even on shows his commitment to the game and this forum. Frogboy don't have to respond at all - he is not support. I certainly would ignore it on my holiday.
Yes bugs - specifically the AI cheat.
I acquired this game exclusively for the well documented, non-cheating AI (on intelligent level). I am with you on this. Some are saying it is no big deal and only psychological, because you can beat the AI like you did before you know the cheat existed. I don't care. I bought both DL and DA cause I like the idea of a no cheating feature...hmmm..that too was psychological I guess...so, I hope it gets fixed.
This is similiar to my situation also. If this issue is not fixed then I may just stop playing this game for awhile and go back to Civilization IV and some others. Civilization IV, Beyond the Sword expansion is due out in July! Hmmm...I was on the fence with this one. But, the more I consider this - I will definately be playing more of Civ IV and others until this bug is fixed. I am not one to play for a long time and now I feel forced to play on and not
If the developers think its going to be too much of a difficulty fixing the bug - then so be it - carry on with the upgrades in version 1.7. Just DON'T claim the game is playing with a level playing field anymore. I can accept either option. But, that special factor on non-cheating many players brag about on different forums concerning GalCiv, will just have to be scrapped.
Ok - this is a problem. I hope something will be done about it soon. I always consider this one of the very very few non-cheating games out there. I don't even know if there is another???
Ok, thanks.
Does anyone know if the rebate coupon that comes with the Gold Edition can be used for Galciv2 dreadlords that was originally purchased by download? I hear the coupon needed the cover of the dreadlords manual and download purchasers of galciv 2 dreadlords didn't get a manual.
hmmm...waiting to see if this Rendorax bloke has a rebuttal
How many patches have we had so far? Seems to me they are fixing gliches pretty quick ..eh?
Hmm...seems Galciv 2 does indeed have copy protection - or whats the activation requirement stuff all about?
I have loaded the game and began to attempt to learn how to play it. However, there is no music or sound so far. I have an onboard Soundmax card.
