This sounds very promising. GALCIV 3, yeah! With even bigger resources than before I presume. This would be an awesome game!

Looks like a must buy. It is not that expensive either. I'm not quite sure, however, whether it will work on my old system (Intel duo, T6400, 2 ghz, GE Force 9600M GT, 4GB RAM). How is the framerate on your computers? BTW I like the fact that ship design and combat is relatively simple. I hope they keep it that way.
Fantastic! Although I hope you will still devote time to support Diplomacy to make it even better.
I agree fully with you Mumblefratz!
I liked both SWAT 3 and 4. Really good games. Haven't played for a while, but might try it sometime. The tv serie 24 makes me eager to arrest/stop some terrorists, although you can't be the invincible Jack Bauer ;)
Wow that is great news. THanks Brad, our patience is rewarded! I wonder whether you would only make updates for the final expansion or do something for dark avatar and the vanilla version as well?
Cool! Can we expect more screenshots and videos antime soon?
No I haven't but it looks quite nice. Can someone tell how it is/plays?
@ZehDon, thanks for sharing your views. I appreciate them since there aren't that many reviews out yet. I've read a lot people saying that the campaign is quite long so the game is worth its money, espcially if you also want to play lots of mp. HOwever, now I'm not so sure. Perhaps I will first play more Distant Worlds and Sins, before I try SC2.
Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. Much appreciated! I believe that the some gameplay video's (even if they are somewhat indie/cheesy, which was also the case with DW) could temporarily give an idea to interested gamers what the game looks like, before the demo is eventually released. Good luck with the last ends.
Very interesting game and very nice that the developer is answering questions here. I hope the ship desgin can also be very simple or automated, because I don't really like micromanaging that aspect of the game. Thanks for working on this project and I'm also very eager to support it. More video's would be welcome to see how the game looks like. THis also worked very well with Distant Worlds.
@vandenburg I dont take it personal In fact I like your remark [e digicons]k1[/e]
Great AAR! Really! Your writing is not bad and you really describe the things I like in an AAR. I don't really need the story telling. A couple of screenshots would be great though. YOu just need to press print screen and paste in paint and then upload the jpeg file a free picture upload website and link to it in your AAR. It is that easy and saves a lot of time of describing how the galaxy looks like. I like the way you describe your strategic thinking (see quote below). I wo
Both are great games!
Congrats!
Homeworld
"should have established some trade routes with them, and it doesn't hurt to gift them a few techs and money when they are at war with someone." Does it make a difference if the proposed ally partner is at war or not when gifting them something? Do they appreciate it more when they are at war? Tip: be careful when joining an alliance, because you can easily get into an universe-wide war if your ally is not very cautious or a warmonger or weak military.
That's strange. right?
Star Trek Birth of the Federation SINS (althought it is rts, it is not as fast as a typical rts)
It is now much cheaper though, about 15 pounds per season.
It appears that at least on amazon.co.uk there is no box edition of DS9 available anymore. Instead you have to purchase all seasons separately. At least the prices are reasonable.
Ice, thanks for the contribution. Good arguments to watch DS9. Perhaps I should try both :).
Interesting thread. Lots of useful suggestions. I also prefer Galciv2 to SOTS (I dont like the focus on ship combat/design in this game, but I like the fact that planet management is not so micro intensive). @Iztok, funny to read that you like Sots. I thought you were die hard Galciv2 player. Why do you prefer it to Galciv 2 at the moment? @Armada 2 players, why do you like it so much? What makes it better than Sins for example? @ dissapointed Distant Words, I rea
How does it compare with Sins, gameplay wise? Is it more click intensive?
Thanks good to know. Very much appreciated!
