I am pretty familiar with the Bible, and I have it installed on my computer - a program with most of the translations. I could not find it, nor do I recall ever reading it. I think you are mistaken. It is in there somewhare, don't worry about that. It was one of those phrases that caught my imagination, and that is why i remembered it. Hmm... perhaps it was in the study notes of the version you mentioned

I had the same experience as Glitch. ^
I'm sure there's a specific thread for this somewhere else, but it fits here, too. Many people feel that choosing good alignment isn't worth it, compared to the weapons of evil, or the NLC and terraforming bonuses of neutral. It seems as if being good should have long term positive consequences, to offset the short-term negative consequences. My suggestion: give good civilizations the option to offer Defense Treaties. When a treaty partner is attacked by someone else (not when they
The exact same thing happens to me. I'm sending a debug.err file, too, in case it helps.
On Beta 4, I'm freezing on the governor's screen only when I click for ship rally points to display. (FYI: Dunno if it's a graphics thing, but I have a Radeon 9250.)
I encountered a similar problem while playing a custom race. If you click back and reset the race attributes, it should take care of things.
Agreed. Any ground combat augmentation--and I would enjoy some--still needs to be turn based to be consistent with the rest of the game.
I've never been one to use the sensor techs much, but when playing a gigantic map recently I did research the sensor level that allows you to build the Galactic Guidebook. It says that it's supposed to reduce the cost of the survey module to zero, so that you can add it to any ship. After researching the tech and then building the GGB, the survey module still cost money for new ships. Is this a bug, or am I misunderstanding the goal of the GGB?
Build 12 fixed my problems. I'm playing on a ginormous map, and can once again save. (Load and save times are now lightning fast!) Four straight hours, zero CTD. I'll try build 13 tomorrow. Thanks for all the work--on a weekend!
Yes. I love what they did with 1.1, so this is now perhaps my biggest gripe with the game. Well, it's in the top three.
I've had the same problem with saving. With beta version .14 everything was fine. However, with beta version .17 and .18 it crashes every time. I can't get past the first auto-save on a game, and can't quicksave either. Makes it tough to play the larger maps if you know you have to do so in one sitting...
