I randomly discovered a Lucky Ranger, basically a Large hull with a lot of advanced tech I don't have yet. Even buggy, it's still an incredably dangerous battleship. Of course, it should be worse: The detailed description of the ship claims it has positronic torpedos and droid sentries in addition to heavy duty mass drivers and armor. Is it just me, or is upgrading ships rather outrageously expensive? Generally more than twice what a new ship of the redesigned class would cost in the game I'm playing around in now. This persists in the save game files, so it's not a wierd quirk, but I'm not sure it's a bug either. It's certainly counter-intuitive though.
Since I'm having the same problem as buffedub, I thought I'd mention that I was set to the California server and have the pre-release versions box checked. Reboots do not make a difference here.
Of course, after the update, Gal Civ II no longer appears in my list of games... Whups Possibly due to a case of bad timing, I had just uninstalled it to try the reinstall method of fixing things, when SDC discovered the new upgrade. I did the upgrade, which may have been the mistake. GCII still shows up in Show/Hide, and Registration Info (where it thinkgs its reg
