BUG & SPOILER: Lucky Ranger

Don't read if you havn't found a Lucky Ranger yet, or read and drool ;)

I randomly discovered a Lucky Ranger, basically a Large hull with a lot of advanced tech I don't have yet. Even buggy, it's still an incredably dangerous battleship. Of course, it should be worse:

The detailed description of the ship claims it has positronic torpedos and droid sentries in addition to heavy duty mass drivers and armor. The problem is that the ship doesn't seem to have the torps and anti-missile defenses, at least according to it's stats. It should have something like 16 missile attack and 12 defense, but it displays 0/0. In combat, it fires missiles, but it's hard to tell if they do the right damage (havn't taken it up against anything large enough to make a difference yet...).

Problem persists across saves, if you want one of the save files, TG.

Win XP sp 2, Athlon 64 on an Asus A8N-SLI with GForce 7800GT(81.89 drivers), english.

Actually on the first game I played (beginner, 3 other civs, small galaxy) I didn't know what I was doing, and when I was down to my last planet (homeworld) I found a Lucky Ranger. I suddenly had a chance against the other civs! However, maybe 10 turns later I found another Lucky Ranger. Another 10 turns, another Lucky Ranger. After playing for quite a while I found out that if I had less than 3 Lucky Rangers, I would usually find one in 10 turns. So I sold my Lucky Rangers to minor civilzations for money because they wouldn't use them, and I could count on more coming in within a few turns. It was really odd. I seemed to find fewer Lucky Rangers as I retook some of my planets though.

This is a known bug, I myself learned this after reporting it too, and I think it's on the list of things to fix. I honestly don't even know how the ranger got messed up like that.
