I use CTRL N but then it goes back to the metaverse login screen and I have to suffer through the race, galaxy an AI selection all over again while for normal games I do not.

OK... so is a score of 400-something normal for a tough game? I just got one and I freaked out. Earlier I got another game, 900 points, and freaked out too, so I didn't submit it. EDIT: When are the metaverse scores going to be changed? Who will be affected? All pre-1.1 scores? Or what?

Check the options page... you can turn on and off planet and star textures. Maybe that's off?

Dude, I played a game on tough in a medium galaxy, going for a tech victory (4 turns away) when I won culturally. My score - 900. I was speechless. My tiny/tough game got 15000!

In one GalCiv2 interview there was something about a wonder called the "Microcombobulator". I've never seen it in-game though, was it taken out? (Probably, as it cut down component size by half... grossly unbalancing.)

Election and DoW screen messed up in my games. The background disappears and the vote button is unclickable. Also, CTDs when clicking on "Manage" fleet.

Hahaha! The nicest thing the AI ever did to me was surrender to me when we were at war, and on opposite sides on the map and haven't even seen each other yet. Your terrible reputation evidently preceeded you... by lightyears!

It's not even necessary to research everything for tech victory. Just the tech victory line. And of course, manufacturing techs to build research facilities, economic techs to support the research facilities, and stuff like that. Well, you can leave military and influence and diplomatic techs relatively alone.

What about economic starbases then... work the same way?
