Yes thats very true. But these forums will be a lot more active after the game is released (not right after, people will be too busy playing, but later on). And Im sure there will still be many relevant subjects being talked about in the GC2 forums, but I'd just like another area we could navigate to where we can talk about random stuff like my new pet suger glider. Shes soooo cute. Im gonna be taking pictures soon Oh and Suralle

Okay.... I dunno if its just me or if other people have been thinking the same thing but these forums are just getting too small! I go to other forums and there are like places you can go and talk about anything and everything. And lately, I just have a lot I just want to talk about that isnt exactly galciv related but there is no place to go where I can talk to you guys about it. I just think that since your fan base is going to expand considerably within the next couple months, you
I was just thinking about something from GC1 and was wondering if it was still present in GC2, since it relates to the new Ship Design feature. In GC1, when you traded ships, the ships graphics change to that of the AI that is recieving them. So my question is: In GC2, does the ship design/style change to the AI's like GC1 when they are traded, or do the ships remain unchanged, but with the new Civ's color?
Why not have land battles like risk? Youv'e already got the map with all the squares on it. The "military screen" would show you how many troops in each square. YOu could attack from these squares or defend from them. Know how you talk so much about sharing Solar systems? This way you could share PLANETS. I dont know about sharing planets with
I think I remember Brad saying that Alliances will be changed so that it is only a defence package (ie; You attack race A that is allied with race B, race B is now in the war to defend race A). So if an allied race attacks you, their ally isnt dragged into the war from the start. I dont know if this will be changed for the release or if it will be and update later on.
I think some sorta ship addition should be available so that we could add some modules that will allow us to upgrade Colony ships and transports to hold more civilians/troops.
Proud Canadian, I pretty much agree with everything you suggestion except what you suggested about being able to give support to different political parties and changing your political party during the game. I think that you should stay with the same political party the whole game, and if you lose power than you lose your bonuses and negatives (ex. War Party +ship hp -diplomacy) and you gain the bonus's and negatives of the superior party. Also, your actions should definately have a lot
and perhaps the invasions could take a few turns to be complete? It would make more sense. I mean in GC1 you could wipe out billions and billions of people in just the turn of a month. And keep in mind that was when the entire population of a planet would literally fight to the death (something I hope they fixed this time around). And now with 1 turn being 1 week, I think it would just make more sense for an invasion of an entire world to take a little longer, dont y
I hope the Terror Stars look a lot cooler this time around.. and the attact visuals should show it hitting the planet with a giant laser beam or something
I have a question of my own to add into this topic. How is the beta? I mean in terms of just the layout and anything that wasnt in Galciv 1. Is GalCiv 2 looking like a good game so far?
Personally I like the idea. I could use that a lot. Even if they were named already, when I discover it, I often give it a new name that is easier to remember.
Ohhh.. so the game will be a lot longer then..
I strongly support the idea of introducing some sort of instantaneous travel. I favor the wormhole strategy. Having the option to turn them on and turn them off would be smart so that the players who do not like the feature because it complicated things for them dont have to use it. But, also, add a slider in the galaxy creation window to adjust the number of wormholes so that the players who like to have 2-3 wormholes can have just that, and the players who
yea really. I was gonna post somethin like this too. Hey check out my post about one of the screen shots
In one of the screen shots I noticed that the production time for a Defender (If I remember correctly) was displayed as week Instead of months? Does this mean that the game will progress by weeks instead of months or what? Im pretty confused so if some one could elaborate on this it would be wonderful. Thank you
