Its not that they dont do anything with them.. its that they cant. I noticed that when the ships are ejected from my planets, on the next turn the AI formed them into fleets.. but they couldnt move them because this bug keeps the ships movements at zero, turn after turn.

The Paulos, a minor race, are being attacked by the arrogant Terran Alliance. Having most of their trade either going to or coming from the Paulos, and not wanting to directly attack the humans, the Covenant send the Paulos 8 fighters and 8 capitol ships, and funds to support their resistance. Thing is, upon transfer of the ships, which would no doubt turn the tide of war in the Paulos favor, all engines were mysteriously sabotaged and ren

okay well I would show you a picture of my desktop right now and what Im trying to do but I cant figure out how. So I'll just try to explain it more thoroughly. I made a short cut of GalCiv2 that does not have the GC2Launch in the properties. I go to edit the properties just like Majuks said, without the qoutation marks and one space between exe. and cheat, and every time I try to apply it I get a message that says: The folder 'C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2

I cant get the cheat mode to work. I try adding cheat after the qoutes, but it either does nothing at all (no cheats available in game) or it tells me it is invalid and that it cannot be found in the start box or something along those lines. There is only one file that I am actually able to even edit and that is on my desktop. The ones in the folders dont even allow me to add any sort of text.

Thanks Crustacean, that link you gave me provided me with a very useful tip that I employed upon my smart ass computer, and now I am downloading GC2 via SDC as we speak. I had to go into safe mode, log onto the admin account, and reset the password for my main User account that I forgot the password to. Again, thank you

If both sides are entirely wiped out the planet should lose any allignment it has with any civilization. If every one on the planet is dead, then no body controlls it. So really, you're now looking at a race to get a colonization ship (or possibly troop transport) to the planet before the other civ does.

Wow... its amazing how a race of sentient squirrels can take on one of the major races in the galaxy like that. The Snathi are by far the best race out of any of the civilizations. I would probably kill most other minors, but how can you kill off a cute little species like the Snathi?

Just saying goodbye to all those who have downloaded the rest of GC2. You'll all be too busy playing the game to post around the forums for the next month or so. Have fun, I'll be joining you just as soon as my mom gets off of work (so she can buy it for me). Have fun being galactic dictators, elegant diplomats, and everything inbetween!

A future PSP release of GC2?!??!?! I own a PSP, and I think.. that it would be amazing if it had GC2. Then I could show all of my friends the brilliance of the game as I play it on the go! Thus, allowing for a larger fan base. See... this is obviously a must

Perhaps they could bring it back, but only one planet at a time or something. Make it cost a pretty penny to destabilize just one planet, so that unless you had a really huge amount of money you could efficiently destablize several planets at one time. And then throw in the other values like race attributes (+loyalty, Moral bonuses, ect.)

I agree 100% You would think that the UP would be more interactive. In GC1 I never really got that feeling like I was actually really apart of a galactic council. It was more like... "Oh.. UP meeting coming up next month. Got to buy influence this turn so I have some say in what ever random proposal comes up" Yea, the UP council is one of the few features the devs need to work on more, along with the invasion system

GC2 does a fixed payment, rather than having it be over X months. Ahh.. Its probably for the better. Let me just tell you a story.. The year is 2187.. The first galactic war was over. The Human Altarian Alliance had finally brought peace to the galaxy after years of fighting the Yor Collective and the Drengin Empire. After the Yor ha

I was just wondering when the demo will be available for download, and what features will be available and what year it will go up to.
