Finally picked up GalCiv2 GOLD retail after all this time. Found a copy in London Drugs for 39.99 and figured now or never. Game installed fine and everything is working well. It was a little confusing patching my software having never used Stardock before but after a bit of fumbling around it was easy enough. Having used STEAM before I was not very anxious to install the Stardock Central application. However I am very pleased with Stardock Central and happy that it does not force anyt

I am sorry to say this but your multiplayer polls are a load of bullshit. First of all the poll does not even remotely represent an accurate numbers of players who would purchase the expansion if it had multiplayer. You have already alienated the multiplayer gamers like myself who have no more time to waste coming to the site to see if you hired enough talent to actually pull it off. From what I remember it was officially stated that if the game sold well you would put out an expansion pack with

A new version v0.2 has been released that allows the player to use the name Constructor. Only Colony Ship and Survey Ship remain restricted as they are present on a map when it is created. It has been noted that this small mod does not work in campaign mode because of ships already populating the map. Archive has been updated on Apolyton and is pending approval on The Galactic Core. See links above.

Hrmm yeah I do not play campaign mode, that would be why I did not notice that. It does work in free play though. Honestly I think core ship designs need a hidden prefix or more abstract names. Players should be able to name their ship classes the same way. Frigate, Destroyer, Cruiser, Battlecruiser, Battleship, Dreadnought, Titan etc etc. It still may be possible to fix the campaign names. It's taking those campaign designs from somewhere else (228 designs in the data folder) or ther

Do you always find yourself trying to use core design names for your ship classes? If you do then this small mod will help ease the pain by adding a Stardock (SD) prefix to most of the core ship names. Colony Ship, Constructor, and Survey ships remain restricted core design names as they are already present at the start of a new game. Previous save games are not compatible. This small mod will be available on http://www.thegalacticcore.

Wow Stellar Frontier looks harcore Surprisingly it still looks pretty good from the screenshots. Sadly I have no idea where I was when Stellar Frontier was released. Maybe I was obsessed with DOOM or Quake or at the time. It doesn't say on the website what year it was released but I would have probably liked it. I am curious though why the costs of developing a multiplayer

tually makes it sound better for multiplayer purposes but sounds kind of limited for single player. Hopefully you guys will release a demo and hopefully the game does well so that eventually we'll get some multiplayer support.

I just wanted to say that even though I have never played Galactic Civilizations it looks like GalCiv2 has some serious potential. With that said the reason I am coming here and posting this is because I do have some concerns. I do feel strongly that multiplayer should be included in the game design from the ground up and working out of the box. If I may make another multiplayer suggestion aswell, GalCiv2 MUST have simultaneous turns and also a save function that wor
