I just got my preordered copy and I am enjoying it. I haven't played GC1 so I will have to go with GC2 on this one.

Plus, if we buy it we keep CariElf employed. Which is very very important to the guys moral...Well it is!
I can't wait for beta 2.
Yes I get this as well. So I just let my planets that I want to do nothing build the most expensive and high tech ship I have.
I agree with everything you said Zippo, you guys definitly work hard and it shows. We're very lucky to have dedicated support from a great company.
In its current state I would give it a 4.5 out of 10. Which (funny enough) is higher than I gave MoO3...
.........
Happy belated B-Day!
Hey, alot of you are getting caps with your FPS due to vsync it looks like. I disabled it in my ATI control panel and got much highet FPS which shows what the your comp can really do. Woa, you're right! I disabled Vsync and got much higher FPS. My new score: Title: 115 - 205 Main: 36.8 - 80 Ship Design:
There are bugs in the ship design screen, for more info click this Link The bling part is really cool to, although it would look better with textures on the ship.
By luck I mean that the other AI lost his only two planets to me because they rebeled and joined me and I won. I didn't even have a transport ship.
We have the same graphics card. Like Solitair said, download the latest drivers if you haven't already (71.84 I think).
I actually won a game a few days ago. By luck though...
*Update* I can easily do it to all ship hulls. I'm unsure if anyone else can but I want you guys to try. Go into design. Click on new. Then click on one of the hulls. Then click on a hardpoint (those red circles you see on the ship) and where you clicked another ship will be put on it. Click on another hardpoint and it will do the same thing. Keep going if you want to. Here's another pic, this time its a small hull. <a href="http://onlinerock.com/music
My turn. Title: 58 - 60 (switching screens it drops to 58, but then raises and stays at 60) Main: 29 - 60 Ship Design: 42.2 - 60 My Specs: P4 2.66 GHZ 512 MB RAM Geforce 4 Ti 4200 with 8x AGP (latest drivers 71.84) 1024x768 at 32 bit Windows XP Pro SP2 Direct X 9.0c *On a side note* I found a bug while messing around in the ship design screen. For more info click the <a href="https://www.galciv2.com/Forums.aspx?
While I was messing with the framerates, suggested from BoogieBac's thread. Link I found a bug in the ship design screen. I clicked on Cargo Ship and I was zooming in and out with the wheel mouse. I was also holding right click and moving around to see if my framerate would drop and such. Then I was just randomly left clicking on top of the cargo ship and all of a sudden it made two mo
I don't think loading works properly. Everytime I try to load it crashes. It takes forever to load (or try to) I might add as well.
I haven't come across that yet. If I do I'll post it here.
The blank dialog box is just auto saving to the "previous save state" when you go to load a game. I also had the united planets appearing 3 turns in a row.
Same here. Except I actually won a game. I played with me and one other AI and eventually the other AI planets went to my side because I was more advanced. Then I tried to start a new game and got a buffer overflow.
Yup, I shouldn't have spoke too soon. I played long games last night and I had several crashes. I tried getting all the research researched but couldn't because of CTD or other bugs.
Hmm looks like Solitair said everything I wanted to say and more... Oh one thing I did notice though. Sometimes ship icons don't appear in the "orbiting planet" and you have to click (usually) the top right box to launch it. I'm not sure if that has been said or not but there it is.
So far I haven't got a crash or error yet. I'm running: P4 2.66 GHZ 512 MB Ram Geforce 4 Ti 4200 with 8x AGP (latest drivers 71.84) XP Pro SP2 Direct X 9.0c On board VIA sound I have played 3 short games thus far, but I probably will get a crash or bug sooner or later.
