I love this idea! It would be interesting to have or to be one of the satelite empires. But you should be able to get independent again if another empire liberates you. Or they could just take you over to...

I like how in MoO2 you can right click on almost anything and get a description of what it is or does right away. I always found that very handy. Perhaps GC2 could benefit from it as well?

Citizen PJ_ , nice avatar. I love Chrono Trigger to death. Its my all time favourite RPG and its still fun to play.
spend a lot of time messing with 20-30+ planets individually. The early game wouldn't be bad but later on it will hurt.
Actually, my first complaint would be no tactical combat. Than it would be multiplayer. Aside from those two things, this game is sounding very good.
re considering it in an expansion pack.
1. Ship Design 2. Less micromanagement, more fun 3. Better Graphics

wormholes on) there were no wormholes that connected. I agree though that the player could end up utilizing the wormhole more than the AI. But the AI wasn't dumb about them, they did send fleets through it.
I was thinking, does everything you build on a planet take up a tile? Could you build satellites in orbit that scan the space around the planet (like a listening post)?
