Creativity isn't worth the point, IMO, I've only had a random advance or two in at least 3 long games. Luck is too powerful at times. I find that you're better off with +25 luck, either through party or racial bonus, and upgrading the random ships you find. I go for Courage rather than Creativity anymore. And I've researched 2 things in a row, but that was due to how
The Wicked Flea
Yes, you must research Xeno Industrial Theory then build your capitol. Remember that you can only build *ONE* so use it well.
Er, I dunno what happened but the description of the Evil Wonder of "Mind Control" is supposed to cause instant defections on rebellious planets... yet it gave me a 100% economic bonus. Not that I minded...
Wow, you've been busy! I hope to get my hands on this soon. *grins maliciously*
Excellent spottings there Brad, the endgame list, and I think with all the diversification and clamping down the hatches that 1.1 will be the best update yet. I can hardly wait, since I think I've noticed these things here and there in Beginner/Normal games.
The random event still exists, FYI.
Assistant Starbases, ones that boost nearby ship's power, are very helpful, and you can litterally take on dreadnaughts with a fleet of 3 medium hulled ships. Just be sure to attack first.
It makes upgrades alot easier, and I think it's just a quibble that you have, wanting an option. Frankly, this allows you to have a hull "style" you have, then customize it into various ships. Clever, iffn you ask me.
Wow. . . a Rage 128. . . The problem for you is that there are no recent drivers. And the fact that the card is woefully outdated, you'll have to throttle... everything.
Yep, there are 2 random events that spawn pirates. One is related to galaxy development, the other... is an oops you'll learn of yourself.
Influence starbases near an opponent, not neccessarily an enemy, increases your own influence over those planets. When you reach approximately 5x the Influence Points of that planet being influenced by, the planet will rebel and flip eventually. Influence starbases in your own territory will magnify the influence generated at your planets, and get you a bigger "slice" of the galactic pie. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles
Excellent review! Both by him, and for you.
Jesse deserves a nice bonus! That's one cool feature there! I kinda bounce between Beginner and Normal difficulty. Beginner is a bit too easy, but the AI jumps a sizable piece on Normal. Especially when you go from 4 Beginner players to 9 Normals. I'll
I said the same thing as Kryo did. In fact, that's how I won my first Yor game... Psyonics with ~50% Starship bonuses on 2 seperate planets! Large hulls + Psyonics = Ownage.
I understand completely. Suggestions are just that: Suggestions. They don't have to be taken, listened to or even given the light of day ... but you guys do most all of that. I'm just happy to have a stable, enjoyable game for once!
It's bound to the planet, and I think it has to do with attack/defense values, maybe hitpoints. I've not played evil for a while and had a large bonus like that.
Very nice! Waiting will be the hard part.
Well, yeah, 40 days or so is the longest we can live without food. That's roughly 5.5 weeks, so yeah it's kinda slow and fast at the same time.
I goes down semi-slowly, actually, since you can live for longer than a week without food.
The game industry is disappointing, EA's slew of sequals (Madden as mentioned and more), ID's sequals (Quake 4), and all the games I had looked forward to and found to not be good... EaW, AoE III... GC2 has been the only game worth buying, to me, since UT2k4 was released. Frankly, the rest of the industry needs to wake up! I've been spreadin
I like the 2nd method. It's simpler, attracts more customers, and in the long run has less problems. Besides, the frequent updates are a long standing way to defeat cracks, hacks and other illegal things. Change codes and locations of variables and functions and you can add alot of time to hacker's work.
I had... 9-11 in one full game. And that was just a 'tiny' bit excessive.
Most all hardpoint errors are still there. And just for reference, I only checked the outer points, and not the inner structures. In fact, I just discovered the latter.
I'll try and see if I can replicate this, I just upgraded my drivers after my last game.
There are multiple copies of said avatars online already, IIRC. That may be the reason, especially if you simply copied them from an official source.
