It's really tough to keep track of what's going on in this thread. Hehe. Just a few more things I thought of. a) Auto-turn sometimes occurs when deactivated, I think this is when the computer assumes that we are done a turn. I'd like to have no auto-turn when it's off. b) I like the popup GNN for "Late Breaking News". The p
The Wicked Flea
Nirvana, it's in there. When the GNN pops up select your event and click the GOTO button, you will then center on the planet where the event originated. Boogiebac: I'd like to call up the GNN in the turn after it expires, because I want to cruise around, but click done and it doesn't return. Prehaps a "GNN Report" button that appears when you get the popup report could do this?
They took it out of the final game.
Now that's bizzare, I was just able to upgrade my flagship! ... Whatever, I don't get it. Not at all.
Yay! I don't care how many updates you release in the first few weeks, it only makes the game better! If someone says that you're compensating for something... tell them to go soak their head. I can't wait for the update!
You have to have other ships with medium sized hulls in order to upgrade the flagship. The problem is that I do have other medium hulled ships, I just cannot upgrade to them. It's really irritating, since I have a semi worthless ship sitting about.
Or you can download the demo of fraps and assign PrtScrn to take real screanshots to file.
I cannot upgrade my Flagship to anything but core ship designs... if that.
Can you add "Default" races? So that there are more than 10 to choose from?
For some reason no GOOD techs operate, Subspace rebounding, Arnorian Battle Armor, Telepathic Missile Defense and so on.
I saw lights on my homeworld ONCE. Udeveloped class 10 world with a moon, I developed it and then the lights disappeared. I don't even have lights on my class 19 uber-developed world!
My highest that I found was a Class 19 in my current game, oh the sweetness! I can't wait for HUGE hulls, since I can put out some insane MP on that planet...
I'll post my current narrative, with screenshots, after I complete the game. I'm using it as a recruiting tool on another website, and in a large discussion on what is better to mod. I'm about 40% done now, but I don't know if that's accurate or not.
I'm not being condescending. There is no definitive value, it's all what you and the AI deem it to be. So develop a system in your mind on how to categorize the value of a tech. My mind is far from photographic in nature. I'm dead serious when I say it's easy, because there is no absolute value, it's between you and the AI.
Interesting. Very interesting. I thought it was latin from the sound of the words, but I don't know enough to make an intelligent guess on that. Hehe, I didn't think it was Boogiebac as he claimed in the IRC channel ... it's a little to female of a voice for him.
The AI can sometimes get into a "Techwhore" position, so don't fool yourselves! Just because you're 4-5 levels ahead now is nothing if your enemy discovers Discovery Sphere's first. Techwhoring is good to an extent but you need to remember that you'll always spread your own tech around, giving benefits you might not want to give to these folks yet. With hold your best for the top techs
For a transport you need Planetary Invasion, for a freighter you need Trade, for the rest... just make your own.
This is because your are in the campaign and your techs are limited by said campaign. Calm down and use what you've got. You'll need it.
The Carinoids are a female dominated race, FYI.
Nope, they will have a defender there by that point. You ought to make and send a fleet or stack with enough firepower to takeout 13hps at once.
It's easy guys... what "generation of that tech" is it? Laser II or Laser V? How long in general did it take you to research it? A little-bit or a lotta-bit? Things like these give you relative values to the techs. Here's a few that the AI really likes: Trade, Advanced Trade, Alliances, Governmental Research, Research Related Research, Factory Improvements, Economical Improvements, Habitat Improvements. Get it? Any
I have a feeling that like the Temple of Neutrality, these aren't in the game yet.
Very interesting. I know my 9800xt isn't considered top of the line anymore, but my random crashes do not seem to be related to heat. They're just totally random without any good debug info. I would like the option to reduce the texture passes and whatnot and to give me more control over the graphics end, but I can wait.
I took an economy resource with my ship, that I just blew up. I don't understand how it could happen, when it certainly is fixed for me. Did you continue a pre-update game?
I'm having problems at times and completely enjoying it! Most companies don't support their products as long as Stardock does, and I have faith in their skill to fix all the bugs. I am willing to wait and get an even BETTER game than what I purchased. Stardock has the best policies of any Corporation I've run across. Don't let the naysayers get you guys down, just keep up the good work . <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Congrats.gif" border=0 AL
