Heh. You can disable the "check internet" stuff within the game options I believe, although if you're going to use the Metaverse you might want it on. If your PC is that slow when connected to the 'net you might want to run a virus/adware scan, just in case.
The Wicked Flea
If you've got a dual core system, then upgrade your drivers for the CPU. 2nd on Battle of the Gods it will not let me pick another race. This is how it's supposed to work, sorry. <TD class="mb-Body-
Just a note Zhao, but use the HTML code and the pictures will appear correctly. Interesting ship.
I noticed that you can annihilate the original colony and so loose alot of production and food. Without the colony the populace cannot survive well.
Wade: Not quite, it's different. I save a normal race, reload it and then get 5 points worth of extra bonuses that DOUBLE when I start a game. So it equates to having 20 points of design value...
His score resulted from using the exploit, and when you use and unfair exploit just for a higher score or advantage you don't deserve the points. I just found a serious exploit in race creation that gives huge bonuses to a race for free, I won't say how. And while I could have a monster advantage over a computer player, I refuse to exploit that. You don't deserve the score because you didn't actually win a game, just racked up points. And yes, kudo
yellow journalism n . Journalism that exploits, distorts, or exaggerates the news to create sensations and attract readers. No, not this post, the media's coverage of this situation. From what I see, they're staunchly on her side. And frankly, I'm sick of all the yellow journalism! Playing the "racist victim" when you evidently caused the problem is a passive aggressive way of being a racist. I agree with you Modera
But if tech trading is on, you can cater some great diplomatic love since it's a "valuable" tech.
Strange error, DirectX shouldn't simply send a "WM_CLOSE" message but an error if there is one. Bizzare...
Try posting your Debug.err file. And if you've got the beta, it's your fault. Betas are an "as-is" deal.
Build ships with weapons.
I saw it in the forum. Simply create a new ship based on a medium hull, seeing that you can only upgrade within a hull class.
They'd be dangerous if their Missile Attack/Defence actually WORKED...
I found 10 Rangers one game, but never had any corvettes. There seems to be a bug with Custom Civs where they don't get the Corvettes. I've played alot of games and haven't had one of my worlds double in value either, even though 2-3 of those events happen in 1 game sometimes.
You pay for the freighter and the mini both. And while they're easily destroyed, they often get 1 shot in and so kick weaker ships in the teeth. *attacks freighter* "AAGh! My fighter!" While it might not be that effective, it'll boost your military score, don't forget. And early on if you can afford the costs, go for it
Heh, it was pretty funny. I've beta/alpha tested several times, and I know what I'm getting into. Some people just don't understand and try to get the "latest patch" without thinking that maybe "beta" means it's not done? Sheesh, the nerve of some people.
Yeah. Later on in the game, phase your trade routes out then recreate them with armed/defended freighters. Sure you'll pay maintenence costs, but they'll start the route faster, but carry defenses and weapons over.
It'd be nice to know when such a breakthrough occurred, seeing that I never actually noticed it.
If you want to prevent the galaxy from being filled with ships then increase the maintenence costs. I'm willing to pay the maintenence if only the production were fair. And don't tell me you couldn't mass produce a tiny by the 10's in a week, you could.
C'mon research does it, MP should to. Here's why: I had a planet in a Battle of the God's game, +700 precursor mine and +300 tile too. 3 Industrial sectors total with a Manufacturing capitol (duh). 500 MP easy. I can build a Huge hull in 2-3 weeks, but I can build 1 tiny or small in 1 week? Why not multiples in a week? It's only fair. If you can make them in a week, it ought to be done. (At least until you fill the starport
I was just able to reproduce the error. I think it's because I'm getting the +4 mining module on a moral resource SB, while having all morale boosting wonders. (Yeah I know, but taxes at this point are awesome) Here's the crash info from SmartException , and the Savegame file. Unless you're a staffer,
Hmm, I just got another CTD from clicking OK on a "Upgrade Starbase" confirmation. Battle of the Gods gametype. *launches smart exception* Debug Message: Version v1.1 BETA-1 last updated on: Fri Mar 24 19:54:46 2006 Debug Message: Could not find a TGN Serial No. Debug Message: *********DXDiag i

If need be, download and install through Stardock Central the "SmartException" package in the free software area. This will give them alot of data about your problem.
I got a CTD when choosing the neutral path on the influencing crystals during the random event. Here's the Debug.err. (Note that I didn't have SmartException running at the time).
