Great report. Good to see you are looking at the survey and focusing on customer satisfaction. Can't beat that business model!

I think that the variety of this round made for more interesting team strategy other than simply deciding on speed or score priorities. With the variations, the team members could pick the game type playing to their strengths and weaknesses based on the preceived optimal style / difficulty of the various game types. What's up with the Galactic Core? Some other website comes up when I go to it from my favorites, now. It was working this morning, though. I think it did something like this the other day, too.

Question: Is this 4th game (on teams of 3) also averaged into the score, speed, and submission team bonus calculations? I've been assuming it has, but want to make sure.

Thanks, guys. I believe it is possible to get a 0 yr win on the tech settings, but it will take some luck. I was close, I ended in April of year 1, and I think I had either the last or second to last tech being researched at the end of year 0, but my creativity just didn't trigger enough (maybe once or twice early on).

I'm currently finishing Jordan's 9th book in the Wheel of Time series. I sure hope somebody picks up his manuscript and finishes the 12th book and series. After that, back to SciFi and more Honorverse.

I certainly want to keep playing in the MVL, I've only just started with 2 rounds. I wasn't there for the earlier rounds, but the two that I've played were each different. I would like to continue to see diverse settings, that will challenge me to adjust my game style and play in ways I normally wouldn't. I agree with Mumble on the TBS vs. RTS issue. I have SoaSE, and it is a great game, but GC3 needs to remain a TBS, not become SoaSE 2. I have enjoyed the few hybrid games out there because they were unique: Total War series and Star Wars: Rebellion. SW:R was the ultimate hybrid in that it was a true 4x RTS, unlike SoaSE. You could control the speed of time and make changes, issue orders, etc. while paused and then you cranked it up to superfast due to the epic time scale to build things or m

Oh, I agree with you there, it is a cheap victory. I believe that is why the Diplo victory scores less than a comparative military conquest victory. Besides, it's just not as much fun. I usually turn off all non-military victory conditions.

Of course the AI can get a Diplo victory. All Allies share the victory when no opposition is left, so the player and the allied AI get the victory. If all the AI's were allied and not the player, the Allied AI would get the diplo victory when the player is defeated (you just won't see it, because you are dead).
