I've had several games like this lately... Everyone gets chummy with each other and all conflict stops. Anyone working on a mod regarding AI behavior or something? What I really need is a cheat to set all players relationship with each other back to neutral or something sweet like that... ;-)

I'm playing a game now where all of the other empires are allied with every other empire, except me. I am on very friendly terms with everyone, but have no actual alliances. Anyone ever had this type of thing happen? Am I going to have to "stir the pot" to have something happen, or will these AI players eventually have "fallings out" among themselves?

Searched for this but didn't see anything so sorry if I missed it... I have a game already started that has become terribly unbalanced (a few empire with 30 plus planets, a few with single digits...). Is there anyway to edit so that I reassign ownership of planets from one empire to another in mid-game?

Most be more positive options for human players in Diplomacy: ways to initiate an AI empire to like you other than just doing their bidding (ie- the missions...). Throwing money, metal, or crystal their way, giving some tech, sending a candygram- something so that a player can take the initiative in diplomatic relations.

Agreed- there's no point on doing the missions to curry favor with someone who will eventually attack you anyway. I like the game- I want to love the game, but until something is done about diplomacy, it's silly to waste time and resources on the missions.

Diplomacy by its definition means that there is some communication going on. Well, there's communication going on here all right- all ONE WAY! There not much the human player can do in a positive way to influence his situation except the seemingly endless "run and fetch" demands of the AIs. The human can't make any demands, has very little chance of making any real lasting alliances- nothing... Why even include it in the game if it's this one sided? I've played a few games now and my b

Another thing I have learned, at least this is the way I feel about it- I only build military starbases to assist ships. In other words, I never spend constructors on "starbase defense", only ship assist. I figure if an enemy force gets to my starbases, they're pretty much toast anyway. I'd rather build two starbases to assist ships with double assist points rather than one fully developed starbase with starbase defenses. Multiple starbases can make a defending force almost invincible- especiall

Firstly, let me say I love the game, and I've been playing for a long time. One of the things that I never seem to see however is the AIs counter-attacking. I can take planet after planet from AI races, and they never seem to try to retake their lost worlds. Oh, they will regularly send some forces to attack (usually one of the starbases I've constructed), but they don't try to retake the planets with a more focused "mass" attack and invasion force. I usually play on the "toug

Kryo and everybody: just a follow up on my post above. I DID get the mod running. If you have Vista and are having trouble, this is what I did that worked... Vista was not letting the batch file run- it "looked" like it ran (with the old "DOS window" pop-up), but it really wasn't. I finally figured out that the "user account control" wasn't letting the bat file run, so I turned it off (I would suggest for security purposes disconnecting from any network while doing this), ran the batch

I just changed computers and have tried to install KHSM-DA into the game (Dark Avatar) with no success. I used this mod on my old computer and have been VERY careful to follow all instructions for installation and use (and yes, I did create the "mod" folder under Dark Avatar...). This ran on my old computer (MS XP), but not my new one which is MS Vista. (I even ran the bat file as administrator- no luck...) Am I missing a trick because this is Vista?

I've been playing every GalCiv game for years, and this is my first serious tech issue. Now playing DA (version 1.50x3) on a gigantic map. Mid-game I'm starting to getting "Cannot save- not enough memory" alerts after playing a session for around an hour or two (not only that, it deletes any game I try to save!) I searched the forums and found some stuff on memory leaks, but mostly from 2006. This just started for me with Dark Avatar- anyone else having similar problems?

Firstly, this is an AWESOME game. Love it and can't get away from the computer since Saturday. I've been looking through the forum trying to find this, sorry if it's already been brought up. I have an issue in my game where two of my spaceports have shut down- they say a ship will be produced in "0 turns", but no ship the next turn. I've tried game restarts, switching ships, destroying and rebuilding the spaceport- nothing. It all seemed to start when
