I watched the HighQuality trailer and man am I impressed. When I saw the map zooming out to like 5km so you see masses of blue and red gives a great overview. And then when he zoomed in to the middle where blue and red met were so cool. Some Cybran (red) ships went up to land and blue had like a 100 mechs. It was really zoomed in too. Then all of a sudden this BIG laserbeam comes and cuts thro

He could make a turnbased strategy RPG with tactical combat. It would be a Tacitcal turn based game... I would LOVE to see Paradox make a game like Temple of Elemental Evil or Fallout Tactics but done right. BG2 is the progression of that, its tacitcal but real time though you can set pauses so its like a turn based game. Tactical rpgs are BY FAR my favor
You actually bought one of those things? Hahahahahahahaha LOL You have a 360!?!?!?! wtf? Are YOU simply retarted? </t
Not in any order except alphabetical (beginning with BioShock). Turnbasted Strategy for the win! With Tactical Combat ofcourse! Otherwise I'm not interested. Btw you can make MoM II without calling it MoM II Do what the original System Shock developers did. They call their new game BioShock eventhough it IS SystemShock 3 So, Atari doesn't want t
Stromko : The A.I was done in house by Ubisoft. Doesn't really matter as it should provide a challenge WITHOUT cheating! Meglobob : Only played campaign so far but the first turns after I did what I was supposed to do (set domestic policies, start building, production, research and move my ships) I thought: "It that all?" It seemed kinda empty :/ But the killer was when I realised that you have to play this game zoomed out which kills the immersion for me. I was playin
Here's the link where the cheats are told: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/1851065692/m/3141003254 Here's a thread with calculations about how much it gets: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/1851065692/m/9011008944/p/2 I'm a fan of the Heroes saga and looked forward to the release of part 5. New things were promised (skills & abilites, spellsystem etc.), 3D graphics were introduced and factions wer
Nice one! I've played Etherlords II but can't find the original Etherlords here in Sweden. Will probably get it when it appears on Totalgaming.Net..
Turnbased Strategy fantasy game. Age of Wonders and Heroes of Might & Magic are good games but lack severly in atleast one area an thus a new game is needed. Master of Magic II seems like a great idea but some innovation is needed.
Didn't know that A.I took so much cpu power And am I the only one that think it's kinda dull to play zoomed out? You don't see your ships and don't get any immersion but you HAVE to play like that if you're going to have a good chance to win or not getting attacked by supersmall ships. It happened to me in campaign mission "Siege". Something blow up next to "Locke" and when I zoomed out
Is it correct that a planet gives 100% pop bonus if its morale is at 100% even if the morale in the "domestic" window is 95%? I'm correct to guess that what the morale in the domestic window says doesn't matter? I wonder if it's only the planet morale that matters. Say for example that Earth and Mars got 100% Morale while Vizzard II got 98% and morale in the domestic window is 80% for instance. Then Earth and Mars gets doubled pop growth while Vizzard II gets 25% pop growth?
I've been thinking of playing on very slow (second game on normal, medium galaxy) but right now almost the entire galaxy is explored and it will take quite some time before I've researched planetary invasions (will take 16 weeks) not to mention shock troops.... So with even slower tech rates the game would be even more dead & dull then it already is :/ It may be me who takes 3mins/turn though and has to micromanage everything perfectly though <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/
When people talk of colonizing Mars, you think "Why bother, its only 4 squares?" LOL! That was funny! When the
WoW! Hot subject I guess I'll guess I'll do like Brad and build a new design when I feel it's needed. I'm also thinking of playing my future games with techrate "very slow" so techs last a little longer.
Ok, I've just researched missile weapons and will be done with "Stingers" in two weeks. Question: Is it best to design a ship with missiles now and then upgrade them or should I wait and design new weponships every two or three weapon techs? When you upgrade your ships there's a waiting and that waiting seems to be too much. Seem to gain to simply wait (especially since these early techs takes such a short time. The researchtime is proportional right? So it tak
That's why it's useless to bring up some generalization. Nope. Generalizations come from the truth. Better be polite and embrace the facts that we know (galciv2 is great etc) than speculate why and how Cari is
I'm pretty new at this, but when you research a new tech (ion drive f.i) do you design a new ship and obsolete the old one or do you build the outdated hyperdrive and upgrade the ship when it's done? I don't know what to do and if I upgrade the design all the time I will end up with a hundred ships! And that's just for the humans!!
I downloaded nearly all of the shipdesigns from the metaverse and they're great, but it doesn't tell which race should use which ships (yes I know that every race can use any ship) and it doesn't say which number the Altarians or Arceans got (S0 are humans, S1 are Torians and S2 Yor). Most of'em were made by Vorlone.
Funny how everybody are so politically correct with their comments....well you go where the wind takes you I guess.... Males are more logic then women and I think that women are more creative then men so it's probably good to have her there. Also strange to hear about a women that's good at math and science (I like math but I'm not very good at it <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_D
Ok, I played as usual and I was in negogiations with the Altarian (I am humans) when the game gotted graphics problems. There was horizontal lines just like in old TVs with a bad refreshrate but these was worse. I saved and quitted. Hours later I load and this is what I get: One of my ships which was being upgraded didn't disappear though....
Thanks for the answers people But anytime I tell for example (f.e) the survey ship (that I can't build...ugh!) to go to an anomaly he seems go on autopilot and therefore isn't recognized by the find button. What can I do about that? And the turn button seems to be green all the time....gonna check it out and report back. And there is no popup to remind you to move all your s
I've just started playing and things are probably going good (I hope!) but there's one feature I haven't been able to find which is very important to me: cycling of ships with movement pts left! I need a button which cycles through ALL my ships/fleets which have movement pts left. Right now I'm cycling through them manually and I'm pretty certain that somebody have taken up this issue before. Another thing I very much need is a text popup when you end turn that reminds you
Thanks for the tips. Gonna try them now.
I think it takes way to much time and effort to create a goodlooking ship so I wonder if there are gonna be some goodlooking shipmodels to choose from so I can just add the weapons, defenses and engines that I want to equip my ships with. Oh, I also want some tips at the beginning since I'm kinda lost. You're supposed to design a new constructor/cargo (ship with invading forces) so it gets faster, but my ship had range 0.2 while the default one had range 0.9. I'm doing something very
I installed the game, applied the limited edition content, applied the v.1.1 patch and now I don't find the serial to activiate the game with. Where is that serial of which you speak? I fixed it by mailing to you and gotted the serial in an e-mail. Now I just need to get good at this game. Don't understand crap about what I'm doing
