This problem can be solved easily. Just put a research points limit on each mission. That way people will be able to research anything they want within that RP limit, carry it over to the next mission and not have to start all over again. Simple as that. Very cool idea. Zubaz likes

Consoles are where the money is because you don't have to worry about support. I wouldn't hold my breath for any other platforms.

there really isn't much to change in my gameplay always the same way of opening, same tricks to be used, same AIs to be "eaten" Set different goals for yourself. Design a "role" for yourself and play as that role. I used to play chess against myself and white would play very aggressively and black very carefully. I was often surprised how the cames turned out. If you always win militarily, disa

34. Four Daughters and a wife. None of them play any computer games. I don't make nearly enough time to game. Other pursuits, ya know? I haven't finished a game in forever. I'll start a small universe and dink away for an hour and then bail. No loss to me, I had fun playing. Favorite game as a youth Odyssey on the Apple ][ <a href="http://en.wikipedia.

so you like it only for a starship "lego"? I don't customize my ships much at all. I've never played the campaign. (I did start it once to see if it was any different) I play the sandbox mode. Random everything. I lose a little more than I win. I like having to work to survive; not some dumb scenerio goal. Much more fun I think.

Ya know . . . LW Ninja is still one of the games I play the most when I'm waiting for {x}. I don't think I've ever finished a game but still find it fun. I'll look forward to this. If you find yourself needing a break, the games here can be fun and a wee bit addictive: http://www.goodexperience.com/games/

I monitor the forums and am happy when the devs reply. But if there is a complaint that they are not responding to you and someone brings an alternative that's not attempted . . tough luck. Just because you don't like one of the available channels does not mean that they have to use your perferred method. If a bug report is posted in the forums and not emailed to tech support . . . I would assume it has a lower chance of getting a dev hit than a case created by emailing support@sta

I imagine that monitoring one IRC channel is easier than all the threads here. But for true support I believe email is the perferred method: Technical Support - [email protected] Customer Service - [email protected] Stardock Sales and Support are open Monday-Friday (9-5pm EST). Every effort is made to respond to queries as quickly as possible, thou

We talked about a lot more stuff than is actually in the article, and she wrote down a lot of stuff that didn't make it in to the article, so it ended up being more of a feel good article than one talking about getting women more involved in math and science and stuff that I thought that she would write about. I have four daughters and would

I blame house chronicals though. Read the by-line. This story ran in the Detroit Free Press and was picked up by the Chronicle (which sucks on it's own merits). The article could have gone in many different directions, Why being a woman in the industry is harder? Why Cari took this path (other than a boyfriend hooked her up)? Wh

I don't want to play, I can't with my dial-up crap connection. Does one have to be connected during the whole metaverse game? Could you disconnect after it loaded?

How Many Posts Needed to get attention? The magic post number is six. Shhhh. The devs are busy. The help desk is busy. Lots of fixes and enhancements have been released since game launch. Multiple posts don't help. They add noise. No game developer I have experiances is as responsive as

The interface is based on DesktopX . . . you can roll your own! Go grab the standard version of dx, fire up the builder, browse to C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Screens and have at it! You may want to start with MainWnd.dxpack https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/

What is a system tray icon? The plus version allows for a seperate tab but I thought teh free version only allows you to have a split bar with running tasks on one side and system tray on the other. Make it easy and just upgrade.
