Hi, was playing The Ur-Quan Masters (Freeware remake of Star Control II) and was wondering, Tir-Quan training in Galciv increces soldiering by 25%, And in SCII/UQM the Ur-Quan were the evil dominators in the galaxy. So, Is the Tir-Quan training building based of Ur-Quan or have I gotten it completely wrong?
Hi, I downloaded the movie unit for Galciv 2 and now on startup Galciv 2 only gets as far as loading the GC2 mouse cursor and the blank screen before it just crashes without an error message. My Debug.err file does not show a thing either.
Hi, I have often read about how stardock will offer a free expansion pack full of the trimmings a few months after initial release, What I would like to suggest is having a game mod editor directly integrated into the game.. Even the most basic of mod editors would be welcome as in Galciv 1 I did not enjoy the experience of modding "the hard way" much.. Thanks for reading.

Page 22: Disable engine trails in full battles - Display the exhaust from engines. This effect is fairly GPU intensive. Shouldent it say CPU? Hi, I know its a minor fiddly thing to ask, but could an option to transform the savegame date format from mm/dd/yy to dd/mm/yy?
The GNN Post Research discription (as in, what you see after you research something) for traid says: "Lets face it, people want to guy our stuff". Remember that spellcheck dosent look for illogical sentances.
Ctrl + N (New Game & Map) frequently crashes with anything bigger than a small map Edit: This just in from the GNN first contact dpt. Human Intro Message: (Went along the lines of) We are the Terran Alliance, We have claimed theese worlds in our name. Let our cultures stive (Stive, Not strive.) Invalid call error immediatly after I alt tabbed back to GC2.
Tested using a custom race. --- Start a game, Open up either a planet screen or the ship designer screen. Now press escape and click main menu, The screen you were just at will be superimposed on the main menu, And when you click cancel you will be back in the game with the main menu music playing (And possibally the menu still going on in the background). Hi, After 2 hours of painstaking selective deleting of the .xml files (to get GC2 to install) and fixing a fault in the start menu, It asks for a keycode. I heard that a day after release all beta people would be sent a code, I recently changed my account email (Old email is now non existant.) and am wondering if I missed out.. Secondly the multimedia just wont download, Something to do with an error in *sigh* another .xml file, And I cant do anything about it!<
Hi, I was looking at the screenshots and I happened to see the release date on what I think will be the diplomacy screen characters was yesterday by my time! I have to say they look great at such an early stage and in particular, The Yor gets my two thumbs up! On a more negative note the Arcean and the Drath look nothing like the figures we saw in GC1 but seeing as this is beta 3 (and almost 4) I reckon the final results will be great! Thanks for the preview!
Hi, Once SF was avaliable on TG.Net, Now it seems to have dissapeared into an install package that hasent been updated in about 3 years. I think that SF should be added to tg.net again, It is stardocks greatest classic and thouroughly deserves to be there as a fully supported product. Viva la SF!
The Terran Alliance starts off with 3 diffrent engines in beta 3, Impulse, Hyperdrive and something else (Ion?). All of them have diffrent size ratings but the same propulsion benifit... To save the egg on my face later I havent investigated it with anything bigger than a small ship and with starting technology but I am pretty sure its real.
About "Planetary Starbases", How much control will the player have over its shape or abilitys? Could I invest the money to make it the #1 Tourist attraction of all times? Or be a cheapskate and have it all boring.. Also what shapes are you envisisaging? Anything between a Halo to a giant sphere enclosed around a star would be pretty damn cool..
I've done that alot of times and a cool thing is to boot all the ships and then invade them. Mmm..Calculator-Powered Yor...

Hi, After a few hundred turns I am having an immense waiting period between turns, Soon enough it will draw the game time to real time - One week for a week. So, Are there any codes that can save me exploring FOW and research?
It was actually a pretty cool bug*cough*feature*cough* to be able to max out a culture resource and then max out all the other moduels and then stick it in enemy territory. I think its about a +500% influence bonus that way.
don't reckon the TNT2 is DirectX 9 compatible. could be wrong but....... Yep the TNT2 Does not like DX9. Consider upgrading seriously, A few weeks ago I upgraded from the crap TNT2 32MB to a raedon 128 MB card for a mere $75 (+GST) Not a bad deal, And you can run almost anything now.</fo
