You cannot have fleets in orbit unless you build an Orbital Fleet Manager, then your ships will create a fleet only when attacked.
Excalidan
I don't find it horribly awful, but I agree the option to disable it would be nice.
Just go for doom ray. It's only a tech away
I agree with MoratLyssander. If anything, excess production should just be not charged. Otherwise, the slew of fighters that could come from one planet would be overwhelming.
I do remember somwhere the devs, IIRC, were strictly against the idea. Did you search the forums/ journals?
Maybe what luck does is just luck of the draw
Trade is very helpful. Like it was said, it's free money.
Military production is returned to treasury if not used, so can you not just increase your spend rate, effectively doing the same thing? Didn't seem too much of a hassle to me.
Double post
It has been discussed how the game overheats some graphics cards..... a broken fan definitely will not help.
A link with all core designs and their requirements was posted, if you can find it. I know I saw it.
True- you leave, you can't trade at all.
I would just be thankful they made it the way it is. It a lot more efficient than the other way already. Frogboy already discussed putting it back into the treasury. It was not done because it would cause radical net bc changes, and it would make your managing your ecomony pretty useless- there wouldn't be much strategy anymore.
There was another post with a link listing core ships and their requirements.... if you could ever find it....
2) It seems like troop levels are related to population - might be worth emphasizing farms a bit more if the world is on a frontier that you feel might be invaded. The population on a planet IS the troop number when you are on the defending side.
You can be the best diplomat ever, but if you're at war with everyone, you're not very popular are you? On the other hand, if you were allied with most races, you'd likely be pretty popular.
IMO it's pretty simple also, and Luminae's example is right on
Hmmm. Sounds like unnecessary complication to me. I mean, the research centers can just use the internet can't they? There is already so much strategy going into building improvements that this seems to me more complicated than fun or beneficial to the game.
I have a Cordless Optical Logitech Mouse, and I can't use the middle mouse button to rotate either, but zooming works fine. The buttons are all set on default settings, which I read should work, but it doesn't. Frogboy didn't have any ideas
Just please keep no tech trading an OPTION so we can play some games with it if we want.
Ahhh! Shoot the prior!!
Seconded . Minor races have no business wasting resources on influence starbases. If they want to extend range, then build a military one since it would atleast have some use if they get into a war.
Yeah, don't worry. Just kill some farms for morale buildings, instead of the other way around, and you'll be fine.
As jpcarroll has pointed out, the game stopped crashing AFTER he updated drivers. Just do it, in the time you spent arguing that it was pointless you could've done it 10 times. Then maybe it would also be easier to address some of your other.... issues.
FoW turns black in sectors that planets are also displayed in, unless you move the map so that you cannot see any planets. In the "black" sectors, I also cannot see trade route lines or starbase effect areas unless I (as above) move so that there are no planets in the screen. Stars, planets, ships, anomalies, resources still show up This is just annoying after awhile. Debug Message: Version v1.0X.1 last updated on: Mon Mar 6 13:57:14 200
