We have new events that we want to create, new United Planets issues that would be specific to the new game mechanics, and a load of little polish features that would drastically increase the quality of the game-part of DA. That sentence is reason enough to cut the EG. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Wink.gif" border=0 ALIGN=

Well, when you first mentioned the Epic Generator, I had two thoughts: - Either you know something I don't, or that's going to be a massive undertaking. - It's cool and all, but... not something I would have ever asked for in a feature list. To be honest, I won't miss it if it gets dropped. I doubt I'd ever use it. But I don't post games on the Metaverse either, so I'm obviously not much into sharing my games with other people. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc
I would just like to petition, once again, for an eye-rolling smiley to be added to these forums.
One additional point - feedback from beta testers often has a significant impact on how a game is fleshed out during development. During beta, the entire game is undergoing massive changes as they try to determine what gameplay works and what doesn't, and the input from people playing it is likely to affect the final form the game takes. Consequently, some people enjoy trying to nudge the game's development in the direction they feel it should go, and betas offer them that opportunity. <br
I set my game to 5 random opponents, and the Dread Lords ended up being one of them, so it must be a bug. 2 of the other 4 were the Drengin and the Korath. That's a lot of evil!
Hopefully my email was gentle enough, still waiting Probably gentle enough, but about 11 hours early!
Yes, the email has gone out for some people. Downloading now as well.
Why don't anyone make a sequel? Probably because bean-counting suits at the company that owns the rights to the franchise crunch their numbers and decide that these sorts of games are too risky. So instead they devote their resources to yet another WWII game, or tactical shooter, or any number of other games I've never considered buying. <br
Pick up Medieval 2. You can jette your own vache with a trebuchet!
Yes, I'd agree that Fawlty Towers is the best comedy series ever made. There was a documentary about it, where Cleese described just how many agonizing weeks went into writing a single episode. It shows in the tightness and timing in each episode. It also explains why only 12 episodes were made. Edit: And of course Monty Python and Blackadder are great too.
I didn't realize there was going to be any math on the exam.
I love the song (and Donnie Darko, the movie that featured it and where the song REALLY fit). I was disappointed when I saw it used for the GoW commercial. I have no idea if the game is any good, but it has spoiled the song a bit for me. Hopefully my memory of the commercial will fade, and I can go back to enjoying the song.
Wow. Not sure I can say much that the posts above haven't already said, but I'll just reiterate it. What a reprehensible twit. Apparently he sees his fellow human beings as nothing more than lab rats, to prod and poke for his own amusement. Congratulations on damaging a community, driving off some of its regulars, and possibly driving wedges between some of the remaining members, all for your personal entertainment.
I'd love to do a MOO 4. It would basically be MOO 2 with some elements from MOO 1 with a big graphics update, more streamlined multiplayer options (along the lines of Civ IV) and a campaign mode to reintroduce players to the mythos that Simtex created. <
Actually Mumble, I find your writing style very pleasant to read. That means you're either being too hard on yourself, or I'm screwy in the head. For my own peace of mind, I choose to go with the first option.
if the big bang theory is indeed correct, and the entire universe came from a single point of light the size of a pin hole surrounded by nothingness and began in nothingness, how did nothing become a pin hole of light which created the universe? Had to come from somewhere or something did it not? Evolution just attempts to explain how life as we
That would be the second screenshot in Brad's post. I like it! Jeez, Medieval 2 on the 14th and DA on the 16th. Curse you time-space continuum!
Well, go figure, I took so long to type that, several posts were made in the meantime. Feel free to ignore it.
We have a scientist saying everything is only a theory then saying evolution doesn't break a single LAW (which is untrue, btw). Well, a scientific law itself isn't even claimed as cold hard fact. A scientific law is simply a statement of repeated observation: "Every time conditions X are met, Y is observed, with no reproducible exceptions to tha
*sigh* As a scientist who works with the results of evolution every day, I don't know where to start (yeah yeah, I probably just shouldn't). Unfortunately, however, the ignorance is flying fast and furious around here and that bothers me. (Please note that "ignorance" is not an insult - ignorance simply implies a lack of knowledge of some facts.) Evolution is a theory. Gravity is a theory. As far as science is concerned, the fact that I'm sitting on this chair is a theory. That's h
Maybe Brad's too busy madly scrambling to make that date!
It would be like shoving the people that like these into the basement as 2nd class citizens which is a bit distasteful to me but the discord these things spawn is distasteful to me as well. It's more like hosting a party where a few of the house guests insist on having a bleching contest, so you turn up the music so the sounds don't frighten the
What happened to whether or not it’s better to play as the Torian or the Drath? Should your first build be a factory or a market? Is it better to use fleets with large numbers of small hulled ships or fewer numbers of large hulled ships? Maybe when the DA beta hits in a couple weeks, all this mischievous energy we all seem to have will be directe
Sorry to keep spamming the thread with my two cents, but I couldn't resist responding to this I'm really looking forward to BioShock, by the guys who made System Shock 2. Oh yeah. System Shock 2 was one of the scariest games ever, and I'm looking forward to what they put together for BioShock. Judging from the movie they released of it
I use internet explorer , can I still get it ? It's an alternative web browser to Internet Explorer. You can download it from WWW Link Strange, it doesn
