That sucks Ryat, do you have to replace the whole thing or can it be repaired by one of those windshield repair guys that come out to the home. If it is the former, that means you have to replace the defrost grid along with the tint too.

Meanwhile, it was a BB gun. I would say CO2 air gun, but the shape of the pellets usually causes them to embed. The only .22 that would do it is a pistol round at a pretty far range. Even a makeshift silencer wouldn't bring down the power that much.

And the repair guys can only do those small chips before they spider out. The annoying part is not replacing it (which can be done at your house as well as anywhere) but the cost of getting a window with those same properties. More features, more moneys.

That's actually a bad thing to do as most insurance companies will openly tell you.  You end up paying even higher rates the more times you switch.

Well, the window coverage I would imagine might not be an issue, as it's a pretty random event, unlike a car accident where it can be your fault and is a sign to them that you're a risky investment. So just talk to them and watch your bill. Although I'm sure Stant is right, if they do start screwing you on such things, you can at least get quotes from others to see what's out there. Quotes won't cost you.

Ya, that's just how it is around here :'( You won't even get a promotion at your job because you're not mormon !!! They're nice poeple but kind of really racist too and intolerent even though their religion teach them otherwise ! There's so much hypocrisis in Utah, that's crazy !

The accident my wife got into made our insurance raise a lot because the woman she ran into (they were both at full stop, the woman at fault start her car really fast, my wife behind follows, but the light was red and hidden by a huge truck,... so the woman run into the truck with my wife hitting her, so you can imagine, it's not a very strong shock, though that woman claimed all those injuries when she was totally fine and at fault and now our insurance raised from 300 to 600 !!!)

Also my health insurance from work increased from 300 per month to 600per month because it's better but actually it's worse and doesn't cover much so I've been forced to cancel it because I cannot aford that :'(

So now, the only insurance I have and that I can afford is my car insurance ! I live in an appartment so luckily the fire insurance is already taken care of but the rent is a bit higher too so I don't know if it's really the best.

Well, I hate insurances, you pay them a lot and they do everything they can to

1. Avoid paying damages.

2. Raise the price because anything happened.

Yeah, that's why it pisses me off that certain insurances are required by the government. Sure, it makes it so you have financial liability taken care of, but then it's easy enough for many others to get around it AND they still screw you into ultimately paying more than you would just paying the repairs.

As for Mormons, I've discovered that the friendliness is often a facade. I've known a few people to get shafted when they did little to nothing, but somehow upset a Mormon. Likewise, they have all sorts of hypocrisies that are just little personal deals. That's nothing new with humans in general, but Mormon history is full of disturbing things.

Between that and the crap economy in that state, I wouldn't bother with Utah. I do however know a Mormon town built right on top of evil grounds. Literally! The area was considered full of evil spirits by the Native Americans and then the Mormons move there. HA!

What I find funny is how many Mormons I know in Arizona that hate the Mormons in Utah because of how rude they are up there.

And there was a schism in the Mormon church, of which most Mormons around here are on the opposite side from those in Utah and Nevada. That might also be the case for you, Ryat.
