Someone else posted this, and I agree. The Yor's +25 miniturization ability is incredibly powerful, especially on a large/gigantic galaxy. Based only on the starting techs, I was able to design a +5 speed colony ship. And the extra cost only made it cost 1 extra turn to build! That's ridiculous.

If the Yor are over-powered, why do they always die first in my games on painful?


Yor... and evil races in general, seem pretty much make or break to me. Either they die out very early (Drengin/Yor/Korx) or they become a late game power. Actually, I tend to find that the Korx get strong earlier and die out mid-game.... but the Drengin and Yor focus so much on war that they either win a nice set of colonies to work with, or get their butts handed to them by the combined might of the Good races together with the Terrans who usually seem to adhere to the good alliances.

I find that if I start next to the Yor, I am going to be in for an early fight.... but if they're on the other side of the galaxy, we might never exchange fire because they'll be dead by that stage of the game.
