Send an email to starsdock and ask them to put all your subscriptions on one email account.

Hi Gang got the same problems here cant log on to stardock to get me extras and update keeps saying invilad account number which i know is wrong useing the only key i have got back of case inner booklet same e-mail address but i am still not being allowed in this is a joke ladys and gentlemen a new game thats dosent want to let you in omg followed the links done it right but still no go whats going on.

Okay, I'm confused. Does this mean that if I downloaded 1.0X (the whole game) from SDC, I do not have to download the Bonus Pack from the "Download" section? This content is already included in 1.0X?

Correct - you get the bonus content in the 1.0X patch.

Hi all...just purchased my retail today. In-game says it's version 1.0. Stardock tells me there is nothing to update/download. Does this mean that I already have Bonus Pack and CE or is it okay to go ahead and download it and install.

Sorry about this. We've corrected the issue.

I'd like to know this too, I've noticed the game at Wal-Mart and all they have is the collector's edition but for the life of me I don't see a difference unless the collector's edition is the one that has the fold out tech tree map?

The box pictured on the buy now is the collectors edition, if i get digital download does it include all the CE extras?

*Robert LeMaster: Yes, the CE edition has the fold out tech tree. It also has special parts in the ship designer and with your CE info you can also access the WindowBlinds GalCivII skin that is on the web site.

*RiedBaldrov: It will include the extras. The game knows what is a CE serial number and what is a regular. If you have CE number it unlocks the extra bits. I, myself, had purchased the regular version via digital download. I liked it so much I upgraded it to the CE edition for five bucks (plus shipping and handeling). One the box arrived I just entered in my new serial and bingo, I had everything. Notice that I didn't have to reinstall anything tp upgrade to the CE. Just enter in the new number and I was set to go. It was really easy.

Thats not really what i was asking. There are two listings when you go to buy the game. They are both $44.99. One is with a box shipped to you and the other is without. I don't care much about the box. I want to be sure I'm ordering the CE. I'm only asking because while the box pictured is the CE box, the description mentions it nowhere. If you download the normal version and have to wait for the box to show up to get the CE then that defeats the purpose of digital download imo. But thats what I want to know.

The big difference is some extra bits to make ships with. I believe there is also a desktop and fold out tech tree.

*RiedBaldrov: Ah ok. My mistake. I agree it is a little ambiguous on the purchase page. However, check out this discussion at Link. Specifically look at comments five and six. It would appear that the item you get from the purchase here: Link is the collector's edition.

If not, from my experiance with StarDock, they won't leave you hanging. You would be able to send an email to [email protected] or [email protected] and get it upgraded. It might take them a bit to get to your email, as in a day or two, but they are pretty good at making sure you get what you want in the end.

Let us know on the forum what you ultimately end up experienceing as I am sure you aren't the only one wondering. Since I wen't the TotalGaming.net route I can't really say for sure for anybody going direct.

I got a bug with darth kyros hullmod and CE I followed the insteuctions on this forum but CE replaced my modded GC2 types xml. I had a backup so I copyed part of my old file to the new 1. now whenever I start a new gamt GC2 crashes how can I fix?

I bought the Collector's Edition and was excited about getting more Ship Jewelery. Unfortunately, the stuff that was included was mostly useless. The only ship part I use and like is the "Sensor Dish". This should have been in the standard edition, IMHO. I was hoping for some useful Ship Jewelery and SAUCERS so I could actually design some of my favorite ships. Oh well....

You also get a fold out Tech Tree but I haven't even bothered to look at it once.

I personally would kill for a tech tree fold out.

I have the coll ed, found it at walmart last week. The Tech tree fold out is GREAT and the extra stuff is nice, kinda like the reg box's look better though.

I saw that the collector's edition was pictured when I clicked the link to purchase the game, but there wasn't any mention of a collector's edition on the checkout page. I want to have the box shipped to me, but I'd like to know whether or not I'll physically receive the collector's edition box when it arrives.
