I just Changed my character's name from Spontaneous Combustion to TBAY. Thebestaintyou was my first Character but I made a bet that if anyone in the guild could catch me I would change the name. Thnx for the welcome. You are right, it will be a long hard road as at the moment I am a I man empire, but we are still in 5th place and most of us left 2 or more years ago. Good to see they have added the tournaments also. I have made the top 5 list there. Proud of myself after not playing for over 2 years. The Metaverse seems a lot more active now. Congratulations everyone!!!!!!! The Diplos woke up the sleeping whale, and we responded quickly and effectively. Hopefully we can continue attracting the quality players that joined us after the the Diplos surpassed us. Lets enjoy our new medal, but I assure you they will not give up easily. They still have almost twice the active membership that we do. If they start second or third characters, they have the capability to post scores quickly. Again, a masterful job done by everyone.

We have a lot of very good strategy tips on our main thread in the Metaverse forum. You can read these tips without becoming a member of The B C Space Orcas . I have to admit though that we do have some secrets that we have not left open to the general public. Join us and save a whale or two. Welcome Love Pump. Your score is high enough to be made a senator. We will catch the diplos with your help. Once you get your current character in to the top 25, I would suggest creating a new character. This is because the more games you play with a character the slower the total score increases. Your total score for any character is divided by the square root of the number of games played. As we have half the membership of the diplos we need to create more characters to catch them. Feel

Fuels Chief says "I noticed this little bit at the top of your web page. It may need to be updated". This all depends on how you determine the rankings. We have by far the highest average score per player making us a much more talented bunch. You have twice the members and are only marginally ahead of us. This also will change. TBAY

TheProgram. Before you blast someone else maybe you should play at a higher level than tough. On a suicidal game played with 1.31 I had all 12 trade routes with the altarians and bribed them quite a few times and could not get them to ally with me. I was playing as the torians in this game, so it has nothing to do with Good or evil. In another game I did absolutely no trading with the Bugs and they allied with me. I would very much like to hear you explain this, if you can. TBAY

There is no debug.err to send because the game is not crashing. It is just extremely slow on the larger maps and getting progresively slower with each update. I am using the same settings i used on the earlier editions. The ships start to move right away but like I said in my first post a ship that can move 23 times in one turn will take about a minute to complete the 23 moves. The game keeps running slower and slower with every upgrade. With 1.0 I could play Gigantic maps to about 5 years gametime before it slowed down noticeably. When 1.1 was released I couldn't play Gigantic more than a year without a significant slow down. When 1.2 was released I switched to Huge as Gigantic was then unplayable. At this point Even huge maps slowed down to a crawl at about 5 years. I then switched to Large maps and the speed was acceptable. Now with 1.3 I cant play large maps more t

Did you turn off the pop-up blocker?

If you want to Know exactly what your neighbours are building, adjust your espionage slider and when you reach med. espionage for that race, all you have to do is click on the neighbours ship and you will be shown exactly what offensive and defensive weapons they are using. At higher espionage levels you can click on the planet and look at all ships in orbit and how close to completion the next ship is. Hope this helps.
