In the entry four or five down titled "WindowBlinds 6 only hours away..." you show several skins, which I presumed came with the install. But they all don't and I really like the look of the third one across. How can I get that skins please? Thanks.

Out of the blue today, when I decided to change my icon set, Icon Packager is acting up. I apply a set and when I open a window I see it for a few seconds then, one by one, change back to the default icon. I've tried Rebuild Icon and Repair Icon, both change them back to the chosen set only to have them change back a sec or two later. I have checked that I have the latest version, I've tried several different icon sets, I'm running Vista and things had been working ok until today. Any help

I'm brand new to Vista on a new computer. This morning I installed the latest Icon Packager and applied a theme for the first time on this computer, I chose 'spil's stuff ii'. My problem is that I can only see the new icons for 'folders' if I have the view on 'list'. If I have them on 'medium' - as I prefer - or any other view they revert back to the default after a few seconds of seeing the newer ones, which look fine. My other problem is that I have no icons in the start menu to the ri

Yes, I did install DesktopX. Renaming!!! You know I didn't even think of that. Silly of me, I've had to do it with a few CursorXP downloads. These ones were .zip files, I renamed them and they work great. Thanks very much for jogging my rusty old brain.

I've used WindowBlinds for years but I'm brand new to DesktopX and Objects. I wanted to pretty up my screen for Christmas. Sorry if this is a really dumb question but how do I apply an Object that is not in .dxpack form? I downloaded 'Snow Clock' and 'Christmas Lights', they are both folders with several files in them. Any help much appreciated. Maureen.

Success in one of my problems!!! I had a feeling that this c drive thing was not down to Packager, although it started the same time as I installed it. I did some research and found this a problem that has hit others. Here is the answer, for me and some others anyway:- http://www.winxptutor.com/driveicon.htm It's the Autorun.inf part that was my fix. I STILL have the problem of random icons applying within Packager, tried to apply a different them just now and got the right music icon

I installed the latest as of a couple of days ago, version 3.11.106. I played around with a few more theme sets, I applied one set and the .JPG was right but the music icon was Winamp again. Then I tried another and both JPG and all music ones were wrong (default for both) The last one I applied - 'My First XP' (and one of my favorites - applied everything correctly, except for the c drive icon which will not work right no matter what I try. As I said it flickers to the correct, and wanted, icon

OK, I DID un-install Winamp, I've done what you said and associated the music files to WMP, and I used to use Bee Icons to change icon theme sets but I completely un-installed it to return to Icon Packager.

Well, I've been playing around a bit more and getting very frustrated. It's different each time, but each time there is always one of those icons that need to be changed manually. The c drive is the default no matter what is applied - even the Windows default icons - so that must be a problem beyond Icon-Packager, although it only started once I'd installed the darn program!! While installing one of several themes it managed to apply Winamp's icon to the music files even though Winamp is now del

After posting I did see restoring defaults mentioned somewhere. I tried that and the correct .jpg icon installed but still not the various music icons. It always comes up with Winamp's icon. I played around with the settings for Winamp then even un installed it, now the Windows Media icon loads each time. I've not tried repair or rebuild, I'm afraid I didn't know what they do. Thanks for the help, I will try them in the morning and see what happens.

I had Icon Packager a while ago but had this same problem so left, I recently came back and still have trouble. I have version 3.11.106 installed, updated today. My music (mp3;wav;etc.) and my .JPG icons NEVER change. I have to manually change them, no matter which theme I try. It's very annoying. Also my c drive is always the default icon of any theme I install. I try to change it manually, it changes briefly then goes back to the default. The other drives are OK. Is there anything I can do to

I'm so sorry I was unable to get back here sooner. I used the installer that was emailed to me. I thank you all for your help. I tried the original link in Opera, IE and Firefox but kept getting that same page. Being totally non-techy I had no idea what it meant. Thanks very much for emailing me the install, it went smoothly and perefctly, thank goodness.

Is there any way to use Bee Icons sets (.bit and .bip)in Icon Packager please? Bee Icon is what I was using before but they are a few I still rather like. Thanks.

The whole idea was very exciting when I first read it, but as soon as I installed it I had trouble. Now I'm no computer expert, I'm old and plodding alone in my own way, but this thing drove me nuts. Sometimes it would work, other times it would just stop working. My CursorXP just didn't like it, I think the feeling was mutual as it never showed the themes. I confess I use another Boot program, something I'd paid for before I discovered Wincustomize, a

I've not been a member for long but I was having a TERRIBLE time browsing the old site. All runs smoothly in this new one though, so I'm very happy now. I like the colour scheme too. My only visual problem, besides having to scroll vertically because I choose to stay at 800x600, is maybe an Opera thing. In the panels down the left side I can see the whole of the first couple - Store and Gallery. Then for Recent Acvtivity, Top Advocates, and Community -
