Thanks for the input about the production. I thought that when you setup both of the production units that they would be separate. This to tetleytea the rings around the planets also give a +10 to research.

I am having a problem with social and military production. I recently started a new game and decided that I would use social and military production. When I created a custom race I put both of them at +20 and I chose the appropiate political party for another +20 giving me a +40 in both catagories. When I started the game I received another +10 to both because of the moon. I checked the stats for racial configuration and seen that I had a +50 in both catagories. However when I looked at the

You have to update the motherboard bios. When you do reinstall the previous version from stardock central. Start the game and see if the problem still exists. If it does then restart the computer and check the game again. You don't have to go that far into the game to see the ship rotating out of control. Once you have done that install the 1.3 beta and restart the computer. Check the game once again.

I recently had to redo my computer. I installed GalCivII and got a buffer overrun problem. It did not do it before. I hope that there is someone that can help with the problem. It occurs when after I set up the game during the loading process. Any help will be appreciated. Never mind. I had to reload my c drive from one of my backup images and the problem went away. I still don't know why it did that.

I have seen a lot of precursor mines also. The library I have not seen at all. It could mean one of two things either it is not present or the spelling is wrong. I examined the core detonation of the invasion tatics and found that the spelling was wrong. If the spelling is wrong then you will not see the precursor library under any circumstances. Just my view.

Try to get diplomatic translators and the restaurant of eternity first. They will improve your morale and allow you to set your tax base higher. I put them in first and my morate went up close to 99 and never went below 90 again. Build at least two shops per planet size permitting and at least four factories. Look for planets with rings(research) or moon (production) you will get a 10% bonus for each. Last game I played I was eventually making

Another reason is that real minaturization is not being applied correctly. Why make the ship have more space and then the weapons are bigger than before. If you have real minaturization would it not apply to everything that you are building. The further you follow the tree the smaller the previous weapons are supposed to become. With minaturization the ships can contain more and the offense and defense are supposed to become even smaller. True min

Yes. You are right but what I want to do is give a list where you basically have a quick reference to where the items are rather than searching thru a lot of items looking for one specific trade good or achievement.

I am compiling a List of Trade Goods and Achievements. Feel free to add-on if you know more. Xeno Communications-Universal Translator-Diplomatic Translators (25% Diplomacy Ability Boost) Trade-Restaurant of Eternity (20% Cultural Increase) Planetary Invasion-Planetary Bombardment-Space Marines-Tir-Quan Training (25% increase to Soldiiers Ability) Xeno Entertainment-Extreme Entertainment-Ultra Spices (15% to Mor

If you go into Xeno Research-Advanced Computing-Basic Minaturization-Enhanced Minaturization. The following Trade Good is available Micro Repair Bots (20% Bonus to Starships Repair Ability) . It might also be capable of repairing the Starbase faster since the starbase is considered a ship.

The strong military readout is incorrect but it works in your favor. If you are in contact with the race that has a strong military you can talk to them and read what the AI calls a strong military. A lot of times it will consist of colony ships, a few scouts, troop ships. The AI it seems likes to count all ships as being military. If you build like the AI then you will have a strong military also. Build a few core ship for defense. It does no

I have been playing the version 3 of the beta and the minimap is either not updating for the other players or they are just not expanding. I have been using the ownership icon on the minimap and since the game started I am the only one that looks like I am expanding. I am playing on normal. Is this a bug or do I have to expand right up to their doorstep?

You can build your warship faster if you have the colonies already producing either colony ships or constructors. You can either design or just pick a core ship. Once you have saved the ship go to the colonies table and make sure every one is doing the same build. Once that is done go to the govenor and change the build to the warship. Make sure that you use the military slider to lessen the time it takes to build the warship. In about 11 weeks

There is a button for removal of the piece. What you do is select the piece you want removed and there is a button that says remove next to the sizing bar. Click remove and the piece should be removed. It cannot be removed if it is in the middle of some other pieces. The program will tell you so.

What you can do is go into the shipyard and delete the old designs from there and they will not show back up. Make a directory named hulls in the ships directory and put all your hulls in there. Then you can highlight them and copy to the ships directory at the start of a new game.

If you go to Sensor Mark IV you can build the Eyes of the Universe. Once built it will clear up any fog around your planets. The need for sensor ships will become moot. You can get it early if you have enough research labs because the turns are not that great for researching it. When you research Sensor Mark III you will also get the galactic guide book which means that you can explore anomalies with any ship that you build provided that you put

If you look at the bottom of the abilities you will see a reset button. It will clear the abilities of the race and let you choose what you want for the custom race. D0on't forget to save the race. You can check this by starting a game and pressing the button that looks like a graph at the bottom of the screen. Note: you will always have a social and production value.

If you make prototypes of the ships with absolutely nothing on them do they become available as you progress up the ladder or are they availabel from the start of a new game? At the present time I have made one small ship and found that it is easier to upgrade the design and have the ship available in one week/turn.

I created a ship tonight with absolutely nothing on it. It took 15 turns to build but it was a small ship. I made about three of them and just let them sit. I upgrade them when the ion drive became available. All ship were up graded for a total of 174 bc. It was a lot faster than outfitting them and then building them. The upgrade only took one week and all of the ships were upgraded at one time. I am thinking about making one ship of each des
