That's where it is for version 1.5, but I am running 1.6b5. 1.6b2 or so changed the dir. I do have a v1.5 debug.err in the main game folder, but it does not have the crash info. Thanks for trying anyways. EDIT: My mistake, user error. The 1.6b2 saving to Docs is only under Vista. I do in fact have the debug.err in the main game folder. I still think it's weird I can't set the folder to writable though, but no worries.

DA v1.6b5 I have a reproducible crash bug that has already been emailed to gc2bugs, but I was unable to include the debug.err because my Docs/DA folder doesn't have one. I even did a computer-wide search, the only ones that exist are ones from DL and DA 1.5. No debug.err is created when the game doesn't crash but exits normally. One thing that's weird is I set Docs/My Games/GC2DA folder to not read only, and every time it switches back to read only. Even though it is read on

I have this problem, or something very similar (it is a Error flipping back buffer to primary buffer. after all), but I do not have Vista! I have XP x64, that is, 64 bit Windows. I can't try the beta 100.x drivers, since for XP x64 there is only 93.81, from Nov 06! I have emailed the debug.err and some saves with other bugs as well. Please tell NVidia to release new Windows x64 drivers as well. Sounds like the game isn't playable for people with Vista, it is however very playable for me, t

For the sake of arguement let's say I agree with the original poster; Bush and his policies are killing people. Let's add up the total. Say 5,000 US soldiers killed in Iraq + Afghanistan. Estimates vary, but we'll give the benefit of the doubt and quote the higher number that some 750,000 Iraqi + Afghanistan civilians have died as a result of the war. Add another 245,000 civilians in Darfur due to inaction and negligence. Throw in another 500,000 deaths because his policies have effects aft

In 1.52a[rc].003 I as able to use the scroll wheel in the fleet, planet, etc windows without the cursor being on the scroll bar. In 1.52b.012 I can only scroll if the cursor is on the scroll bar. Maybe this is a feature not a bug, but if it was a removed feature it'll be sorely missed. Related to scrolling, when in the diplomacy screen I cannot enter my own numbers, I must scroll. This makes things a bit harder. During the process of updating from 1.52a[rc].003 to 1.52b.012

And the most important thing I've forgotten to mention because I've gotten used to it. Once you have no ships with moves left but before you click end turn it is very laggy. I presume this is the AI starting its turn a little early, only problem is I may not be done with mine, for instance I might want to go into the domestic policy tab. This gets worse as time goes on, during the beginning of the game when there's nothing to compute it's not laggy at all. Ha I just keep on thinki
This feedback isn't necessarily for Altarian Prophecy only. I have started playing again and noticed some small annoyances. First off, I like to click back and forth between the military and social production tabs. The arrow buttons are small while the name button which switches the order is very large, perhaps the buttons could be stretched to the edge of the window. The reason I switch so much is I'm trying to get the maximum production with no over production for my money. This wou
I've also noticed the AI doesn't need to set autopilot when they take a wormhole into space that's out of their range, but this could either be a game play feature or maybe they really were in their space and I didn't realize.
What I meant was when one of my survey ships enters a wormhole and comes out into space someplace out of its range it has to put the crew into hibernation and set autopilot for my nearest sector. Once I had an Arcean survey ship make contact with m

2 bugs so far, sorry if they've already been posted, is that as soon as an alien race colonizes a new star this becomes their new capitol, I thought this was supposed to stay the same star each time. Second one is that after I've traded something with another race to get a trade good such as aphrodisiac it does not show up in my list of goods to trade. I've also noticed the AI doesn't need to set autopilot when they take a wormhole into space that's out of their range, but

So far I like this game, but with all 5 races set to genius on a large map with scattered stars it's too easy. So please tell me which would be harder, scattered, loose, or tight, and what's the best size to play at? And of course I'm going to set the other races to incredible, but is there a way to set the minor races' intelligence level? I think I had 1 more question but I forgot :p, any other suggestions are welcome, I'd just rather not waste a few games experimenting and ruin my future fu

OK so starbases affect only the sector they are in, right? And resources, well, aren't they galactic resources and not sector resources? But sometimes when I'm playing a large map - even with the stars scattered - over half! of the galactic resources end up in sectors without planets. Then when I go to build a starbase over this galactic resource I get none of it's effects because there's no planet. I'm still new at this game and so I don't even know what happens when I build a starbase on a
