I updated with SDC. Thanks. btw: Do I need to install "heightmaps" for ToA? Or does it just benefit Dl & DA? How large is it? (I seem to remember seeing somewhere that it is on the order of 100mgs) I'm curious (for future updates) if anyone who installed ToA via CD have any issues with Impulse. I'll probably test this myself soon. (At least I'll know if it recogizes my ToA install.) thanks again, can't wait to play tomorrow!

Should I purge some temp directory before I reattempt? Or just try it againa and see what happens?

It tried to update itself (download x of 233 files) at one point. Now that SDC is working, I am trying to update GC2 and the expansion. As I said, I have dail-up, so I don't think I'll have any luck getting the pre-release beta of "Twilight..."
I posted this on another thread, but I'll repeat one question: With my dial-up connection I only got to 78% of the DA update. When I resume will it start over (from 0%) or from 78%?
I got the cd, but I have a similar problem: I had to do a fresh install of the sd_central to get to the point I could dl the patch. I attempted to get the update over night. I only got to 78% and it terminated because of a hang-up on the stardock end. Even for my dial up connection it was very slow. Progress bar said 1kb/sec vs the 3kb/sec I normally get. Since the download looked like it was file by file, I hope that when I start sd_central it will resume from the point I lost the
