ok citizen thanks for that info, But the card works great. So you've resolved your issues with the game crashing, then? And the movie issues? Good to hear.

Oh, I just double-checked. It looks like the 5500 doesn't support DirectX 9.0c which means you don't meet the minimum requirements. Updating your drivers may help but fundamentally, your graphics card isn't capable enough.
Your graphics card drivers are more than a year out of date and your sound card drivers are even further behind. Please update your drivers first. Note, though, that your graphics card is several generations old and at best, is rather underpowered to play DA.
Please update your video drivers, they are very out of date.
You could try updating your video card drivers. The ones you are using are almost a year old. The main problem here, though, is that your video card is ancient. The GeForce 4 MX-440 is a GeForce 2 level card, several generations out of date. Your system is well below the recommended requirements. After updating the video card drivers to something more recent (http://www.nvidia.com/), try defragging your hard drive. You may also want to
Hey, my brother almost got ripped off while selling his laptop on eBay. Not once but twice. I couldn't believe he was about to ship out his laptop for the second 'buyer'. It happens, it just REALLY sucks when you can't afford the scam and especially when you are young enough that you have to save for weeks for this. Chin up, GalCiv2 is worth the wait. And let us know if you have any troubles getting your money back.
Citizen Lonemessiah, please let us know if you used Paypal or a credit card. If so, you should be able to get 100% of your money back. If not, how old are you? (Bear with me for a moment...)
Note that in Canada, it is a criminal offence to agree not to report another criminal offence. As this guy is infringing on copyright for commercial gain, he is committing a criminal (not just civil) offence. As such, in Canada, your evil option would also be a criminal offence. Note that copyright infringement not for commercial gain is, I think, a civil matter here but I'm not a lawyer. May be entirely different where you live, though.
Are you SURE you didn't have a spam filter set up on your computer or on your ISP's end?
Minor bug: The tech description for Subspace Rebounder misspells a word. "phsyically" should be "physically".
Bug: When a galactic republic, attack a planet of an empire you are not currently at war with. The screen that comes up says the vote is about going to war with %s. That is, with "percent-s". I have a screenshot if it helps (please contact by email).
