A slightly belated Happy Birthday from me! I hope all your dreams came true.

Yep - it runs on the admin account (mine) - which is where it was installed. I guess I expected it to work like other programs: for example, when I installed Office, all users had access to it. For some reason, none of the Stardock programs do that. Oddly enough, even though I've been using it for years, no-one else has ever wanted to try them! I'll have a look at the scheduled task option and let you know how it goes...
I'd like to be able to allow my son to use DesktopX to display a WoW desktop, but it refuses to run under Vista - saying that his account doesn't have enough privileges to access the files. I'd rather not give him Administrator access, so is there a way that other users can have access to the Stardock programs that I've installed? TIA!
Me too. I just can't get it to connect to the wireless LAN - it won't even give me consistent error messages (which are a waste of time anyway, because you can't find out what they mean!). Nice console though!
Firstly - PixelPirate, this is just brilliant. What a fantastic effort - thanks! I do agree with Sir Zubaz though. It's nice to be able to have Stardock take care of backups - if you know what I mean. One of the big advantages of buying their software is not having to worry too much about catastrophes because it's all managed centrally. It would be rea
Wonderful! I've been waiting for this for ages! I've noticed that there are 3 'MyShadows' applications running though. Is this normal? Should there be only 1?
I just purchased this, and all the links work fine for me. BTW - thanks essorant!
Hi all, I've created a brand spanking new empire - the Hunters and Collectors - and everyone is welcome to join, regardless of skill level. See you soon!
Well - it looks OK, but it's yet another example of a widget/gadget that can't get out past proxy servers that require authentication. I would LOVE it if all of them (StarDock included) could connect to the internet in exactly whatever way the browser is set up. Sigh...
It seems to happen about 2-3 minutes into the saved game, and I'm not doing anything in particular. About the only consistent thing is that it seems to occur just after a turn. Since that game is on a gigantic map, I'll be disappointed if I can't continue I've checked it with a couple of fresh games, and they seem just fine - so it looks as though something has gone screwy with the saved one only. I

Simply wonderful! PLEASE don't sell out to Microsoft - I'm sure you're innovation and success will be attracting their attention some time soon, if it hasn't already.
Maybe it's because I'm in Oz, but it's only marginally faster for me. The initial load lag doesn't seem to have changed much, but once that's taken care of the pages do load faster - but nothing remarkable.
Surely this must be the world record thread in terms of numbers and duration! Me? I'm listening to Eagle Rock - but only my fellow Awstrayleeuns will know that one.
I've just checked, and it seems Australia is having some problems talking to the rest of the world at the moment. Maybe Stardock would like to put a server in Oz!
Yep - it's the same with US-1 and US-2 I'm afraid. Of course I 'would' be downloading the multimedia files for GalCivII!
Sorry - I mean the download speed. It's only averaging about 7kb/s at the moment.
Stardock Central is painfully slow at the moment. Are there some problems with the servers that runs on at the moment - as with the personal pages for wincustomize.com?
Thanks again. I've been playing around to see what works best. It's amazing what you find when you take the time to go beyond the defaults!
Wonderful! Thanks Sir Bichur!
Hi - does anyone else use Copernic Agent Profession (not Desktop Search)? Large parts of the interface are blacked out when WindowBlinds is installed, which makes it virtually unusable. I'm hoping someone knows of a way around the problem.
This may be displaying my ignorance in these matters, but why not put the personal pages on a different server?
Whatever you've done, it's definitely faster!
LOL! Wonderful! Mind you, it's a bit troubling that Microsoft now seems to own a forest...
Looks very nice and very interesting. If only the upgrades didn't cost so much...
