I think those are are still pretty weak video processors though
Well they do the job for me. GC2 runs at maximum and I can even play Oblivion at pretty high graphics settings. The point with laptops is that not only do the idividual parts count but the whole thing. If the quality is not maintained in every aspect you might not be able to utilise the potential of the video processor. Now TPs are very good in that respect. As with Acer or Sony I never had one
Graviton
and they have all those +10 pop growth techs
Maybe they start with a negative pop growth similar to the Drath ...
Think Pads are great laptops, I use one for work. But do they offer models with graphics cards for gaming?
They do. Mine has a ATI Mob X600 PCIE (128 mb). The new T61p have a nVIDIA Quadro FX 570M with 256MB RAM. The Z61p has a ATI Mobility FireGL V5200 with 256MB. Or other ATI or NVidia cards. That actually changes depending on the offer. Look for the T - Series or Z - Series.
"Darmok and Jilad at Tanagra."
That episode was not very logical. I mean those guys could beat the Flagship of the Federation and still they are just a minor race.
Well I use a high end Think Pad. They are a top quality product never had any problem. But they don't come cheap....
Boy do we have different tastes.O'Brien is one of the characters i dislike the most
So it seems. One of my favorite Characters is Worf, because he has much depth.
As a Series I like DS9 best. Because after the 3. Season the episodes build directly upon another. Similar to B5. I have several favorite episodes from all series. Way of the Warrior (DS9), Blance of Terror (Classic), Apocalypse Rising (DS9), In the Pale Moonlight (DS9), Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges (DS9), Tacking into the wind (DS9) come to mind.
I agree with all the above posters: Take your time, flesh out the AI. Since I loved MoM I am also excited about that fantasy strategy game.
Trade Goods, such as Tir Quan Training,
Tir Quan is a Trade Good? I thought that was a Galactic Wonder
Never had that event. Do you get it often?
Military Production means Ship building.
Actually, was Altarian Prophecy ever sold separately from GalCiv 1?
Well just click the link to amazon.com you provided. The fourth item is AP as a stand alone box.
With Gold II you mean Galactic Civilizations II: Gold Edition? Because that includes GC2:Dread Lords and its first expansion Dark Avatar. The second expansion which will be released in january is Twilight of the Arnor . As Phaedyme said, Altarian Prophecy is the only expansion for GC I. It is still a very good game but GC II is newer, has more features and gets constantly updated. Hope that clarifies a few thing
For the first time ever, my main desktop machine is also a laptop.
Since 6 years now I use a laptop as my only computer for work and games. Right now I have a Think Pad Z60m. Think Pads are really good and I never had a hardware problem with them. There was once this issue with faulty batteries but mine always worked fine. The one downside laptops have is that you can only uprage the harddisk and the Ram. So Frogboy do you use a T60 or T60p? Since the p version
Well on Beginner Level the AI is very passiv. Play tough (intelligent) to unlock the complete AI with all algorithms in place.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all of you. :) Got many presents?
I remember that one from GCI and it was a really cool event. They were hidden in some anomalies. So I also would like to see them again in TA or 2.0 .
I always wondered how the Iconian techtree will look like and I like it. Giving them watered down Precursor techs makes for interesting strategy. But will their researchbiuldings be stronger than that of other races?
Cool Will you add also other Editors like in Altarian Prophecy?
Let's see how the Drengin will deal with this. Great story Eidolon1032 of the Emperors Children.
Great story Namus, please continue.
Well Kona could build a Terror Star and that blows a sun in pieces, while the Deathstar just destroyes planets. But all in all the Empire ruled almost over a whole Galaxy, so they definitly have more colonies than the Drengin Empire. It would depend on what weapons the Drengin have already researched.
Kane would use Avatar warmechs against him.
Darth Vader would use the Deathstar.
I have a Laptop with a widescreen (15,4") and I play GCII at 1680x1050 resolution. I also have no problem with unreadable screens. Well try the things drrider suggests that should help.
