Hi, thanks for taking the time to read this. I've recently been forced back to Windows from using Ubuntu Linux. Gnome is a much nicer place to spend time than Windows, but my new laptops wireless isn't playing nice with Ubuntu. Maybe in the future I'll get it working, but until then... There's a theme engine for Gnome by the name of Murrine. It's simple but shiny, very pleasant to look at and use. I miss it something awful. I'm particularly interested i

Alright, I've been trying all day. Everything looks fine until the progress bar pops up. Then, as stated above "all hell breaks loose". I've checked the pallets over and over again, they are the same. I saved my background pallet of 16 colors and used that to save the progress bar. What software do you all use? I'm working with PhotoShop and ImageReady (create in PS, move to IR to optimize GIF/limit colors). I then have tried converting to BMP in the following ways: PhotoShop, Pai
I had what sounds like a similar problem with the "Recycleplace" object. I would load it, got no errors, but it wasn't there. It did show up when I Listed Objects though. From the list I chose it's properties, clicked on the last tab (Summary, I think), and type in new coordinates for the object. For some reason DX positioned it just off screen. So I just changed them to something near the middle and voila! Hope that helps.
Eh...is there a way to edit my post? Anyway...I can verify that the Image Insert problem is Firebird related. I switched over to MyIE2 and the script worked fine. I guess I could always just type the [ i m g ] tags myself.
This is my first post of a screenshot. I kept it on the small side. Anyway, we're in a Christmas mood around here! The snow this morning helped the mood too. WB & Dock icons are Indemnity Green. Wall is Xtal Green. Various objects floating around. Oh, and the dock itself is Metal Red.
Welcome. This is my first article/entry. Hopefully I'll think of something witty to fill this space with in the future. For now, there is nothing. Just the blog. Thank you.
Koasati- I tried using the Start Menu tip you posted, but I get a Windows Script Host error: Line: 1 Char: 33 Error: Syntax Error Code 800A03EA Source: MS VBScript compilation error I copied, pasted, saved as start.vbs, and linked. Does this work on XP?
It's been a couple of days, but I'll throw my hat in here. Aside from the Tabbrowser Extension that everyone has already mentioned, I like Nuke Anything and Flash Click to View. Most of the time they work to restore sanity to browsing, the Flash ext. kind of sucks on all-Flash sites though. Oh, and TagZilla is a cool little extension if you're using Thunderbird, too.
Personally I treat this as good news. Those of us who have zip codes starting with a Zero can use your objects now! Thanks!
Thanks, that worked. For some reason I just didn't make the connection between the number of frames and the number of images.
Ok, so I've looked around quite a bit, but I still haven't seen anything like my problem. I downloaded some zoomers, we'll use the Napster one as an example. I have DX2 (not yet registered). So I've made an object to launch Napster. Here's my trouble: When I try to apply the zoomer, instead of a Zooming effect, I get a row of 11 or 12 progressively larger cat heads. Now, I realize that this is how the images are stored, but can anyone tell me how I can get it to display correctly?
I'm having the same problem. I even tried downloading it again, but it doesn't work. I keep getting: "That doesn't appear to be a valid Zip Code." I've tried 5 zip codes in my area (Southern Maine). And if I just hit Cancel on the zip input box, I get this report about "weather_image": Invalid procedure call or argument: 'Mid' Line: 175 Code: (not available) Any help?
