Nope, the references were not toward you but to dsdsj. Sorry if that was not clear.
Ah, okay. No problem. Well, I've read all your replies, and I really have nothing else to say on the matter. I think this thread is pretty much done, unless anybody else had something (constructive) to say. "Stardock's restricting the GalCiv2 site to AP and TG subscribers is Nazi-esque!"* (* - No, not really, just trying to invoke Godwin's law to kill

Ah, I see. Now I'm a troll, trying to "stir the pot". (although I will admit that I'm a little surprised that Terl believes that he owes Stardock for the privilege of buying GalCiv. It's a pretty darn good game, but... wow...)

Terl... I disagree about my "ranting". I think I've been pretty courteous about the entire thing. I don't dispute the fact that Stardock can do as they see fit. It's their game, their site. I never said otherwise. I was simply expressing my displeasure and opinion. As a customer who bought their product, I am entitled to that, right? Apparently, those with different opinions and ideas are not welcome. So be it.

Frogboy's defensive reply is discouraging, to say the least. Sure, the updates were appreciated. But other companies do it as well. Stardock isn't unique. (shrug) It's not my company, and it's not my say on how you guys run it. I'm simply stating that it seems to be a poor marketing decision, bound to alienate your already established customer base... the very same people who would be purchasing GalCiv2. It would result in a net loss (more people upset then gratified).

It's pretty cool that Stardock wants to say "thanks" to people who bought AP. But, IMHO, this is a lousy way of doing it. Sure, I understand the games's not even in beta. And, no, my life does not revolve around a computer game. The fact that I don't have access to the GalCiv2 site, while admittedly annoying, is not important in the grand scheme of things. All I'm saying is that, emotionally, I'm personally torqued by this particular decision. Intellectually, I feel this is

Well, to say that the GalCiv2 website being restricted to people who bought Altarian Prophecy is something of a major insult, to say the least. I bought GalCiv and I enjoy it alot. I have Altarian Prophecy on my Christmas wish list, but to find out that Stardock apparently couldn't care less for me, as a customer, that I bought GalCiv. >:( I fully expect all the Stardock loyalists or Altarian Prophecy owners to reply with "stop whining", or the like. Fine, that's your prerogative.
