wow interesting thread. I have enjoiyed using Stardocks products regardless of bugs or not. I have also enjoyed Stardocks attempts to be "out there". Its cool to see developers/employees frequent message boards and chat with their client base. Thats the way it should be. Personable. I am running the latest GCII and had been playing my scenerio for almost 2 weeks. Went to load it a couple of days ago and it crashed the app. No problem I thought.. I had been running my dev environment so I rebooted to a clean state. Removed extraneous apps from loading and launched the game. Same problem. Loading my saved or quick saved scenrio crashes the app. It wouldnt have been so bad but for 2 weeks I have been really stroking the other races and was about ready to claim victory

No its not there I searched all over... i think you have to wait till they become more affluent.

Has anyone come up with a way to be able to list a races research tree? For example lets say I am playing my customized race over the coarse of a couple of days or more and I want to see what all I have researched before going into the game? I realize that going into the game we can view our researched items... but its clunky and doesnt give a snap shot of the big picture quickly. just curious. thanks! <img src="smiles/BigSmile.gif"

Just a thought, copy them to the user folder (\documents and settings\user\applicationdata\galciv\etc...), rename them and mod them there. do it by hand... might work. as I said its just a thought and I havent tried it yet.

I hate to admit it but I am hooked on this game... even to the point of writing an application that will analyze the output logs to help me to determine better research methodologies. Not being able to access the tutorials yet, could someone direct me to instructions on ship design? nevermind, quite by accident I was playing around and figured it out.

I downloaded and installed CG2 from SDC. I tried to download the tutorial but SDC reported an error with the URL Any suggestions ?

Well... there will need to be a patch for the patch.. inherent with software.. During gameplay this morning all the frames suddenly vanished and just test was left on screen. I ended up having to go to task manager to kill the application and then reboot just to make sure I had a clean system to try again.
