Having the same problem. At some point, when I try to save a game in progress, the game will crash. I get the message "Out of Memory. CalCiv 2 will probably crash now." I have 2 Gb of ram and my swap file is set at 4 Gb, yet I get out of memory messages. At the time of the crash the commit figures in task manager were 1885/5973.
