Unable to Activate After Patch in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

After installing the latest patch, GalCiv2 brings up an activation screen. I type in my serial number but since that machine is offline it can not connect to server. I pick the email option and send the details by email from another machine, I get no reply. It worked fine before the patch. Please, how do I play the game again?
