FWIW, GalCiv 2 is perfectly enjoyable "out of the box". Unless you're trying to run it under Vista, but if you don't have an internet connection, something tells me that's not likely to be an issue.

the chances of a LIVING thing being created from total chaos is astronomical first of all there is an amazingly high combination of things that need to happen in a human body for it to work (im no doctor but know that much) The problem is you're assuming that it all just "happened" instantly. The circumstances that led to the creation of the universe could have happened any number of times - theoretically infite, infact. Any number of these atte
In a world where "sin" means all. Where do other religions lie, I hope that this world can understand all possible religions, I am an athiest, I believe in no religion, but I respect every single belief. This is hard to make simple, but Everyone has the right to think what they may Thats what it means to me, Why is this argument so compilcated, Why are all "other" religions so "hated" I cant even expl
I haven't seen anything like this happen so far. How about the possibility of one of the minor civs upgrading into a full blown "normal" civ. It would be pretty funny if that minor Civ you've been feeding tech to all game suddenly becomes a HUGE threat right on your own doorstep.
There were two things that made me buy Galciv 2 - that blog, and the knowledge that the game wouldn't fill my PC with spyware. OK - 3 things, the demo helped a lot too. Anyway, good show all 'round.
Actually, why are there four different types of Starbases anyway? Why not just one generic hub with customised modules?
That was about my limit for bitching.
Heheh. You see the ship moving? How is the interface fine if the ship (which could be attacked on its way to the planet and back) stands still? And who said it was an interface issue? In all honesty I'd rather suck it down, decommission the ship I want to upgrade and build a new one rather than manually move it back to a dock every time. For me, at least, the way it is is "realistic enough".
Aren't MS planning to discontinue support for XP soon? Nvidia had better get their thumb out. That said, my own early issues with GalCiv/Vista seem to have mostly been resolved.
