To further troubleshoot the error I've run up against (some custom designed ships lock the game up once they are finished being built), I got rid of all my custom designs, leaving only my custom base designs, and played a cakewalk game on a tiny map. I still got the error when deleting a ship component in the designer where the space numbers grow to serveral digits in length. I was able to build custom constructors and freighters, but my fighter lock

I really haven't had any problems until last night. When war was declared on me, I ramped up research on a few techs to get some of the fighters I had designed in previous games. Once they were available, I bought one and hit the turn button. This seemed to put the game into an endless loop that it never recovered from. I repeated this a number of times with different ships. Once I was able to design a new ship using a custom base design and save it ov

And then, when the techs are researched, my previous designs pop up without my notice. The list is getting very long! I suggest an expandable tree list structure for the shipyard, with ships perhaps grouped by hull size and function or by some other user-defined parameter. That way, if I want a large
Nah, the promise of a ship editor is what sold it for me. This isn't really my genre, but I don't dislike it, either. I don't think I would have bought the game without the editor. I'm glad I did and I'm enjoying the whole game more than I thought I would. Thanks for putting my "Cactus" up there! -Ryan
I just have to comment on how great the sound is. If you don't have surround speakers, get some. After finishing the mixing of my band's album, I plugged my studio monitors and 100-watt stereo amp into the rear-channel of my Audigy card and placed the speakers directly to the left and right of my normal seating position. The front channel speakers are a Logitech 2.1 system. Anyways, enough of that. The background music makes use of all channels a
Here's a little defense drone platform that I call "the Cactus": It's pointy.
