This is freaking crock. Pride yourself on metaverse/online/e-download whatever and then jerk around the poor saps like myself who have the audacity to use more than one email address. I don't even give a crap about the game anymore.

Extend the game. I'd love to see that done in an interesting way. I'm tired of the planet grab followed by hours and hours and hours of starbase building tedium. Wouldn't it be interesting if the galaxy was big enough not to be totally colonized in a matter of months as in the game? What if it was so large that it was never fully colonized? Sort of like the trek universe. It would make the game more interesting. Empires might never meet and only know each other via trade or rumor. The square gal
Why not have bombs? I want to have the option of eliminating a race without having to take every single one of their colonies. I should be able to drop enough bombs to kill everyone on the planet without actually destroying the planet outright (although I want that option too). I guess I think that restricting us to having to invade a colony in order to affect the population on that planet is just too limiting. As for invasion tactics for reducing a planet to zero, that is way too ti
Surely it would be fine to have terror star -like capability provided it was balanced somehow and optional. I mean, if you don't like it, go disable it in the xml or perhaps even expose the optional flag via the options menu. Calling it stupid isn't productive. I wouldn't want them in every game, but yes, occaisionally I enjoy genocide on a galactic scale .
I would call the tech tree in gc2 ridiculously simplistic. The notion that the techs just get a '2' or '3' added to the end of them is silly. Luckily the game has an elegant, highly mod-able design that allows you to overcome most of the things that irritate you.
i was pretty disappointed to discover i couldn't create a terror star in gc2. i agree it should be done with attention paid to balance and prevention of exploits and whatnot, but surely it would add flavor to the late game experience. why not make it an optional feature for those who think they're dumb as donkey balls?
tactical battles would be very nice to have...sometimes. other times i'm not sure i could be bothered. in fact i already get to the point where i just hit 'done' during the combat view just to get it over with. so hopefully if stardock implements tactical battles at some point, they'd also add the option to turn them off. that being said, i would think their time would be put to better use by addressing all of the other issues raised in various posts (political depth, a much improved
i haven't had money disappear on me, but i did notice another money bug. i had decided to upgrade about 100 ships of a certain class to a more modern variant. it was going to cost me something like 250k to do this. so i saved up and saved up until i had the right amount. then i upgraded the ships. but the money was never deducted from my bank. it was nice, but weird.
man, auto-naming of ships? absolutely ! I'm so freaking tired of trying to figure out which ship is which and then spending a few hours naming them all. i'm not terribly creative and frankly run out of things to use as names. so yeah, that is great idea.
