Thanks Kryo! I checked and they weren't there. I found them in the DA/Gfx/Models folder, copied and renamed them in the KHSM-DA/Gfx/Models folder and they finally showed up. I had previously tried just copying them over and that didn't work. Didn't figure on needing to rename them to add the S99 on the front. Problem solved, as usual! Again thank!

I've been using KHSM since it first came out. And with the latest for DA I've continued. But!, as a previous post, I can't get the ateroids to show up in the jewelry listings!? I even deleted and reinstalled KHSM and reran the copymodels batch file. Still no ateroids showing! Is there something I'm missing? Or could I have some bad files? Please help me with this!
If you got your codes from a good source they list ctrl-P saying it will only increase the shown number, but it will not add tiles to the planet. Apparently an unactivated cheat by programming, or they didn't set it up right in the programming!? That's why I never use it myself.
I agree with Spearthrower on the wonders of books. Throughout school, and college, I constantly read and comprehended 2-3 levels above anyone my age. But to sit down with a novel of any kind, even one of deep interest, could take me a lifetime. That's why I'm one to deal more with movies. While I can read and understand much the same as anyone else, I can't always "get the picture in my mind" of what the writer is intending. I lose speed and interest in reading. If it's a manual for a program or
I think it has something to do with the way the download/install accesses the system through Windows. It be giving off a false signal for the reboot. Nonetheless there has been no problems with this from my end.
As far as the choice in alignment, you can go in to the your civ control screen and choose it from there.
I isolated this down finally to be the Starbase Hull Repair Kit module available after Advanced Hulls is researched. So far this is the only module that is not showing up on the list.
Bump! Third times not the charm. I even ran the update from SDC to see if I may have had corruption. I played another new game through the day (off work today) and got to the same point, and the same thing. The one base upgrade associated with Space Mining comes up blank on the selection screen. I've gone in and set things down for memory saving, and even cut out alot of the background system runs, and still no difference. I hope someone can find out what's happening with this!?
Late last night I tried a rush game (new) to see if it would happen again, and it did. Again at the same point, after researching Space Mining(I). Here too is that debug. Two answers! I first removed the flag ship from the listing, the game crashed. I then removed only the survey scanner, no surveying available. So the flag ship is expected by the program. All you can do is elliminate the feature. Now I'm going to retype a different discription for it so it doesn't say it can survey and won't. Still, if there's a way around removing the flag ship I'ld like to know how as well.
I've been playing for a couple of days on 1.6b5 and have just run into this. After researching Space Mining(I) a new starbase upgrade module was allowed. I have to resource bases close by and when I send a builder to add the module the list comes up empty, but shows by the count there is another module to be built. I've been saving my game periodically, besides the autosave, and went back a save to two twice and went through researching Space Mining at different times. Each occurance repeated th
Can you remove the survey/flag ship itself?
Best wishes to all our vets, past and present; here and gone! Our freedom is owed to them all! God bless everyone of them.
I'm with Glitch! Having at least a choice of starting "level" would be nice. Then you can start with or without a survey ship, and possibly with or without an initial colony ship and miner. I think it would make it more challenging with this type of set-up.
WeezyF: One other thing to do (though prior to getting into war) is to increase your techs towards "markets" and "stock markets" to put on your planets. They help increase your internal money flow, and your trade money as well. Generally why it's best to wait on war to build up your econ base first (unless forced into it). Ankhman: As WeezyF showed you, you have to chose from available ships to upgrade to. Though, if you do not upgrade the components on your ships all
Myself, I go every world possible. As you progress through your techs and gain your soil enhancement, habitation improvement, and terraforming, your small worlds become big. I've had a class 1 or 2 move up to 9-11. Class 4-7 move up to 10-16. It's not the mere problem that the AI is getting all it can. If the AI doesn't go the planetary improvement techs it's the AI's waist. If you do, it's your gain. I've been known to do the reverse and move in on the AI's small worlds that it's late on gettin
Thank you Kryo! I have to hide my face in shame. For all the recent problem solving I've been doing for clients and friends I completely overlooked that nVidia had another update on their sight. And I've only been on their sight about a dozen times in the last week alone. Guess I'm just getting too busy for my own good. I did update and tried the game again and all is working as it sho
Kryo, The drivers are updated to the most current. What I mean on the screens is that I select a planet, then choose to view it, and it only flashes real quick and returns to the main view. Likewise, I tried to do an actual normal exit, clicked the menu tab, and it too only flashed and would not switch. I had to go to my desktop and close the program from there. It didn't do this until your current update was installed.
Kryo, Just got time to try the game under the newest update, and a variance in this problem is coming up with me. The main system view works fine, but trying to get to the planet view only flashes on the screen and disappears. LightVader, What is your current system setup? What op-sys are you running? These things can make a difference on how the various components of the game run.
The only other thing I can see to do is to take it in for a full system diagnostic close to you. I only wish I could live close enough to those I try to help to do it for them, but that's what we get through the internet. I would advise checking several service centers before going and see what their rate is and whether they have free up-front diagnostics or not. I'll continue to check my sources and see if anyone has some other possible ideas and let you know.
The card should still be alright. You'll just have to try it awhile and see if it happens again. Just keep monitoring the temp regularly to assure it's not getting too hot again. As far as a favorite diagnotic? I usually run one that is with the drivers or get one from online tech support. I've not personally tried any that are available from non-manufaturer sources. There are several highly recommended ones, both free and purchase; I've just not used them as yet. P.S. I contac
Mark, One possibility you might run into with patches under Vista is an access denial. This can also cause the "not properly installed" to come up at times. When unzipping the patches you need to right click your zip program and choose "run as administrator" which will clear all those problems up. It's a security feature built into Vista that is annoying, but preferable in case of bad or infected files. Keep this in mind, but Kryo said I would probably do a full download and install to
Wicked Flea, You might check and see if your video drivers have a diagnostic with it; most do. If not you can usually find a fairly capable one for free online, or check the manufacturer's website. I've found in some cases before that even though a expansion card isn't overheating to the touch, a faulty component on the card could be overheating just enough to gum up the works. I've even found this on occasion with motherboards. The diagnotic might pick it up, or at least cause
Well! Not shoot some down and boost others up, but I'm 43 with my first child just now on the way. Only married two-and-a-half years though. I go back all the way to punch card systems. My first system was a TRS-80. So like others my age or older I know most of the early games and have played most of them as well. My machine game though didn't come until high school with Galaga; of which I won several arcade tournaments on. As time progressed and my jobs variied I've been on-and-off on games. Ri
