My first TA for the cause. 92,750 Played as good,(washes mouth out). I wanted to see what advantages and disadvantages these good guys had. Cograts PlayJeff. My military rating was about 18000, I think.

Just got my CD and I see Stardock are in "Loveland". This could explain the delay. :D
I hate to spoil the party, but I have not noticed it. I have played two games as the Korath, slightly modified. Gogantic map. Crippling. No tech pick. Normal research. Research is slow, but no sudden jumps.
Kryo. I installed smart exception and had another crash. When I followed the smart exception prompts, I got the message that there was no file. Maybe it is not a game problem, but a Vista problem ? The crashes only happen very rarely and it works fine afterwards. I can probably live with it.
T of A had been running smoothly then, when I tried to move a constructor it just crashed. Got the Windose Vista message that it had stopped working. The cassowary grows to about five feet, which makes it a lot smaller than the Emu. The female is larger than the male and like the Emu, the male icubates the eggs and looks after the young. I love that idea. http://australian-animals.net/casso.htm Like a lot of Australian animals it is in danger of extinction.
Thanks Kryo. Someone has been busy. The download is available now. I have downloaded it amd it works. Thanks to my mystery benefactor.
Smeone has fixed my problem. Thanks. I have downloaded it amd it works.
I have had a stardock.net account for sometime and the latest SDC installed. All the games I have bought show up and I have installed them and updated them with no problem. The exception is Twilight of Arnor. I installed the beta when I pre ordered it. When it was released I deleted the Beta, but now I cannot instal the final game. It shows up in my list of games but there is no option to install. Support have been no help. Telling me to set up an account and register it.
Thanks DethAdder. I had about 2k of ships under it. That took up a LOT of time.
Thanks Diviator, but I have registered it. I even uninstaled Stardock Central and reinstalled it again. It still will not show. I have emailed support and am waiting for a reply.
Built my first military array in my last game. The result, 144 K. Gigantic, crippling. DA. I would have got 100 K without it. It was not worth all the time and effort, so I don't think I will be doing that again.
I pre-ordered an overseas CD copy which obviously has not arrived yet but it is also not available to me for download.
I have updated and I cannot see any difference. The auto update on Vista is much better than with XP. I cannot get the flight sim game IL2 Stormovic 1946 to install on Vista.
With winter coming on, I have finally found time to finish a game. 91 K Crippling, gigantic. Put me back into the top 100.
reduce my desire for an asteroid to land on UbiSoft's headquarters
My husband and I would agree with you about Ubisoft. He has IL2 1946 and it will not run on his Vista machine. Every ground target he attacks, using my XP machine, he pretends is Ubisoft HQ.
Thanks Kryo.
When you do get an OOM, keep that save and your debug. Maybe at some point the Devs may find it helpful to help prevent these things in the future.
There is no debug with Vista. Not that I can find anyway.
The system crashes with the OMM and any save type including auto save. On the crash the game cannot be continued to play, Vista requires the game to be closed. All drivers are up to date as well as all Vista patches. I've downloaded all GalCiv 2 updates. It looks like I'll gave to upgrade Vista or go back on the slower desktop.
My problem is the same as yours, except I no longer have the old computer and my Vista is the 64 bit. DA 1.8. I would be
I can get an OOM error. Consistantly. But, it is only under a very unique circumstance. That being, I go to war and in a single turn do far too much. And I have to be cheating in some way to accomplish it.
I find it much simpler. Just play a gigantic map. Abundant everything. After about three months play, the game just stops responding. Very annoying. Something I will not do again. This is with Vista 64 bit. 8 GB RAM. Virus check
I have Vista 64 bit with 8 GB of ram. The out of memory crashes make the game unplayable. I could only play one round and then had to go back and play it again from the auto save. Very annoying and pointless. Gave up on it sometime ago.
I have the same problem and my video drivers are up to date...according to Vista anyway. I have stopped playing GC2 because it is unplayable. Keep getting "out of memory" messages. Waiting for the new game to be released.
My Husband is thinking of putting Vista Home Premium 64 on my next computer. It will have high specs and heaps of RAM. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. I think Kryo said driver support for XP 64 was not good and some programes did not like it. Is this true for Vista? I have read conflicting reports on this.
Very interesting, but I too would like to know how to get rid of the old designs. It is REALLY irritating to constantly be asked "do you want to replace xy " When xy is no where to be found.
