Sorry, but I just have to say. Warhammer 40k Annhilates both universes.... Whole bunch of borg/jedi type factions there alone eldar for example. And complete planetary destruction happens on an almost daily basis, there. and lets not mention the super genetically engineers 8 foot tall humans in armor equavalent to a tank or the Avataar of gods, being summoned on a consistent basis.

Mostly enjoy Progressive, Avant garde, and extreme metal. Stuff like Arcturus and Opeth. Some tech death stuff as well like Necrophagist and vital remains. my all time favourite band is DEATH. Though I also love the classic rock stuff of the seventies, old school David bowie and some of the darker styled classical music. I cannot stand mainstream Radio music or the majority of the stuff on television, its utter rubbish.
I was a huge fan of Daggerfall. This was the Elder scrolls 2. Back when it was released it really was unsurpassed as an open world RPG experience. Its really dated now graphics wise so i would not recommend playing it, but at the time it was amazing (and buggy) and no RPG has really touched it since imo. I never got into Morrowind, because it just seemed like an extremely "dumbed down" version of daggerfall. not many have played daggerfall and it seems to slip under the radar. I was re
Brought this up before, but I would personally like a blend of the old and new. leave it as it is but add the "toy soldiers" back and give it a graphics revamp.
"I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." - Albert Einstein great Quote, that one.
Apparently this game is going to have the same disgusting copy protection system Mass effect is getting.... sorry, but no thanks. I am hitting EA where it counts, their wallet. i wont be buying this game. I have said it once and I will say it again. This is a major reason why PC gaming is supposedly dying.
I'm personally really excited about the fantasy game you guys are doing even with the little detail given. the last time I played a good turn based fantasy game was TOEE (with circle of eights mod pack) Im itching for something new and you guys are the ones to do it
Hurray bioware/EA you have just lost another customer.
1. AI and espionage generally I know this is scheduled for update but my first choice has to be the espionage system. At the moment I just dont like how it works, I think it needs a total revamp but at this stage I dont really have a good answer either. My last few games I have just ended up having to take the hit from agents on my planets because it takes far too much money to nullify them in the end game. almost seems like its best to take the hit. 2. Invasion screen <br/
I cant believe someone actually advocated Bioware/EA's nasty new copy protection scheme. Are you mad? It basically comes down to this, as someone else mentioned, people dont like it because to them its not tangible. I don't see it this way and dont mind paying some money for good software but that might be because I work for a software developer myself.
I use Nod32 its by far the best Antivirus product I have ever used, it has an extremely low footprint you dont even notice it's there. I used to use AVG, but once I tried the trial of Nod I couldnt justify using it anymore. I havent had a virus infection in a couple of years now. Nod isn't that expensive for relative piece of mind you get for your $ On the other security fronts, Commodo's free firewall is very good and I have grown to like spyware terminator which is also free.
I have to sadly echo the sentiments of a few others here. Software is never perfect you should expect some bugs on release time. but, although I love the new features of TA it seems like it really needed a month or two of extra development to iron out.
Something definately needs to be done about the spy system with TA the AI uses them much more aggresively it seems. I havent found any way to really combat it, it just costs way to much money and generally as soon s I have nullified one it gets put back in the next few turns. (tough setting) maybe I'm missing something here?
It's not dying.... really. Digital distribution is bigger now than it ever was and will continue to grow. When you see alot of those cries that PC gaming is dying they are not taking this into account. It is changing, and I dont think for the worse to be honest... The system requirements thing and piracy contributes but creative developers can get around this..
Obsidian are a fine development studio ok, it isnt really their fault. This team has many of the key members which made the great RPG's like Baldurs gate and Planescape: Torment. If you are looking for blame look to their publishers Lucasarts and Atari. These guys forced Obsidian to release both NWN2 (atari) and KOTOR2 (lucasarts) far too early. NWN2 is looking in much better shape these days due to the expantion and the patches. I'm praying that Atari (in fin
I'm crashing every few turns or so. Never had this problem until the latest beta
Can anyone give me an idea of how this works. I have done numerous searches on AI but nothing Ive found seems to address this question. I am playing on a gigantic map with rare habitable planets, 9 opponents with the general difficulty of the game set to "tough" but I have the option to randomise enemy AI. Does this mean that the game will randomise the opponent AI up to tough level? Or could I get extremely difficult oponents with this setting. How will this effect my
Ok, that clears things up a little, thanks. I didnt realise the gold version of the game was already up to the latest build. Strikes me as a little strange it would allow me to install a patch which is essentially rolling back... I still think there should be some manual way to patch the game however....
Ok, thanks for the replies everyone. Although I applaud stardock for having the guts to do away with copy protection such as securerom, Im pretty dissapointed there seems to be no conceivable way for me too patch a game I legitimately installed and paid goodmoney for. Its an utter disgrace when piracy protection harms legitimate users. Worse is the fact that once I installed the older manual patch, it appears to have rendered my game unplayable. Now every time I try to start the game it
Hi, After looking for a game like this for sometime and seeing the good reviews this game has recieved I thought I would pick up a copy. I am however a little overwelmed. I would like to start off with the Dreadlords campaign but am a little concerned at how much it differs from the expantion in the way of content and new features. So I guess my question is, if I start the Dreadlord campaign will it have the features implemented with Dark Avataar? (new graphics, asteroid mining
