One feature I would love to see is to be able to name a captain for any ship. I tend to give some of my more powerful ships names like USS Hydra or USS Ronald Reagan. It would be great if there's a spot where I can add a Captain's name. And maybe name an Admiral for fleets of ships. This feature would make the game more personal. What would Star Trek be like if we never knew who the captains were.

I agree with Tetleytea somewhat except for the green blood for wall paint. You're wrong there. Everyone knowns aliens don't have green blood, that is just a myth. Aliens have spaghetti sauce for blood.
For those of you complaining about Windows Vista, don't get it! WoW.. isn't that so simple? I hate Hyundais, so i'm not gonna get one. Simple. I'm not gonna around and tell everyone not to get Hyundais or complain about it. I just wont' get one. Oh and about Vista. It has a lot of cool features that Frogboy pointed out. I won't be getting one till SP1 comes out though.
bribes on the way via mail. Hope i didn't forget to poke air holes.. and maybe i should've shipped it air, not ground.
Terpfan1980, what RoyBoy is trying to say is.. WHO CARES?! Your not going to change anyone's mind because of your OPINION like we're not going to be able to change your mind with ours. Like RoyBoy said, don't buy it. While on the subject of gaming stupidity-XBOX Live stupidity But now, While on the subject of gaming stupidity -
This blog has a very good insight on the life cycle of a console system. WWW Link
My money this Christmas is going to the Wii. Since I already have a 360 and a PC. PS3, I doubt I'll buy one and even if I do, it'll be when the system hits the sub 200 mark. Hah, that'll be a long time, so while I wait, I'll be playing on the PC. I don't see any reason to buy the PS3. Most of the games are going to be multi-platform. Even Metal Gear seems to be going to the 360 as well. Sure, PS3 will have Final Fantasy, but Square Enix has lost their touch. The best console RPG
I blame this whole flipping thing on the Illuminati. It's a conspiracy! Seriously.. Are you just mad cause you didn't do it? C'mon.. Be honest.. I know I am pissed off that I couldn't get one to sell on Ebay.
err.. I don't know.. I'm still stuck on Space Ranger 2. Good luck prying me away from that. Unless, this game has some of that feature...
That's a weird looking address to remember for a forum. Hmmm... I have access to a domain name. Yaran (or any other Stardock peeps), you think I could create a more memorable domain name and link it to one of those forum or if not, maybe you guys can? Maybe a subdomain somewhere? But anyways.. Thanks guys for the forum. Has anyone had success
I just finished the game on Normal recently. First time, I put it on easy to learn the game. What I did was I focus on doing Government Delivery Missions. It gives you a fairly healthy amount of cash plus, at times, you get some add-ons that you could use or sell if your really low on money. I do this for about a while and I don't even bother with the Dominator until I have enough cash and a pretty good ship. Thank god the Dominators aren't so powerful that they begin wiping systems
If your having trouble. There's a couple cheats on gamefaqs.com. The cheats are actually not game breaking where you end up like god-like. Example there's two cheats, one gives you 100,000 but cost 300 points. (i'll explain the points later.) Then there's a cheat that halves the weight of all your item on your ship, that's 60 Points. Note, the cheat that gives you 100,000-cash replaces how ever much money you have to 100,000. It does not add, so if you have 50,000 and use the chea
I just finished the game. Ending was okay, but with this game, the old saying is true. "It's not the Destination, its the Journey that matters." I'm gonna play again, this time as a Pirate. Last time, I was more of a Han Solo.
I've been interested in this game for a while, but one thing has kept me from grabbing off the shelf. So I have to ask this question: Can I now get a HARD COPY w/o that Starforce rootkit, or copy protection, or whatever they want call that garbage? That's a good question... I kinda do want a CD/DVD copy. Like with Galciv2, I always order online
I haven't got thrown to Prison yet. I like the text adventures though. Except for the Jumper one where you have to Jump on different colored Platforms. I don't know how I pass that, I just got lucky picking it. I like the ski resort one. Damn.. This game owns.. even galactic civilization 2. and I was
Cool.. Thanks Yarlen. Let us know as soon as you find out. Looks like Space Ranger 2, althought it is already a great game, will get even more popular thanks to Stardock. I would never have bought this game if it wasn't for you guys. I just totally hate Starforce. I like your philosophy of actually trusting your customers. Anyways, Space Ranger is a great game. Stardock should think about making a Spiritual successor to it. Example, a Galactic Civilization spin-off that h
Is there a Space Ranger Forum anywhere on Stardock site? If not, can we have one? I enjoy talking about Space Ranger 2 with other like minded people. I've never found myself this giddy over a game since Star Control series, Starflight, and Gal Civ 2 series. Thank you Stardock for rescuing SR2 from the evil clutches of StarF**K, err.. I mean Starforce.
Hmmmm...seems you are hooked man.But just forgetting about Neverwinter Nights 2, thats just blasphemy! I know.. I feel so bad. I had a it reserved like 6 months ago, but even till now, I haven't gotten it. What ex
IT'S YOUR FAULT STARDOCK!!! YOU HAD TO GO OFFER SPACE RANGER 2 WITHOUT THAT STARFORCE CRAP! And so, I bought it through your online thingy. Now, I got hooked and more. The game has risen to the top of my list of all-time favorites. I'm so hooked, I didn't even go buy Neverwinters Night 2 cause I won't have time to play it. Space Ranger 2 (SR2) is just amazing. I don't even know how to describe it without screwing it up. You just have to buy it and try it. The Demo doesn't even d
Well.. Sorry for the Bad News Stardock, but I'm liking Space Ranger 2 a lot more than Galciv 2. Now, Imagine if Space Ranger 2 and Gal Civ 2 merged. You'll have a game that could win Game of the Year. And if you also port it for say, the Xbox 360 or XBOX (NOT SONY's CRAPSTATION) OMG!!!! I just busted a nut just thinking about it. Haha... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Laugh.gif"
I just bought Space Ranger 2 from Stardock and the game keeps crashing on me. It would always crash near the beginning of the game where I'm given the quest to do the first robot battle. The loading screen would come up, then the screen would go black and I would get an exception error. I can not see the error, but when I ctrl-Alt-Del, there is an exception tab that I can not select. I don't know where to go for help...
Wasn't intended toward you Feud. Was just a generalization. And I agree, we have a chance that any "aliens" that invade us will kick our butts. But you never know, a big giant spaceship can land and when the bay doors open, a bunch of little fluffy aliens comes running out wielding paper swords.
Having some crashing problem. Near the beginning of the game, when I was offered to do some ground combat training, the program would crash when I accept the mission. The screen would turn black. When I alt-ctrl-del, there's an app running called Exception. Can't get any other info. Who do i contact for support?
Its not that I don't understand people, I just have more faith in our species. C'mon, bashing our species does not make you cool. Just like wearing that pink shirt, it doesn't say your cool, it just screams Gay. And what's wrong with a Libertarians? I believe that government (local/federal/or world) should be invisible from our daily lives. Sure, it should be there, but less intrusive.
It's kinda saddening that we don't have any faith in our own species. But there is one thing that can unite humanity, thats an external force. Imagine if aliens show up tomarrow and tell us that there's a big meanie alien coming to kick our butt, I bet a one world government will spring up very quickly.
