One update. I still was getting random blank program on dock that, when clicked, when to Settings. On a lark, I pinned it to dock and added a suitable icon. Even quicker access to Settings when needed. Fixed the last blank program issue...I think...after trying it for a few days. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
So I a copied the folders for the only two Microsoft Store apps I actually downloaded from the store and then deleted the installed versions in Windows 10 Menu. I could not find a way to delete them from within Start 10, but this can be done in the Windows 10 Menu at the top of Start 10 left column. I also turned off the Microsoft Store in Settings. A more aggressive fix is to uninstall or disable in registry.
Yes, "and then something happened..." is not unknown in Windows. I might check within the registry, but I'm not going to lose sleep over this. [e digicons]-_-[/e] [e digicons]|-)[/e]
It appears this blank program may be related to Microsoft Store, which seems to start on its own. If so, I need to determine what it takes to keep that from occuring.
Well, support isn't what I'm seeking per se but some insight into how and why Object Dock would have ApplicationFrameHost.exe as a docked program when it hasn't been added to the dock via settings. If OD could be kept from loading this EXE the problem wouldn't occur. I can remove it, obviously, by dragging it off the dock, but that's not what I'd prefer. Perhaps your coders have some insight regarding this? Thanks.
Win 10 1903 (18362.1802). By the way, when updating to Win 10 2004 last month it failed at 88 percent twice, and second rollback created an issue that required Recovery (removal of Windows installation and reinstall from Recovery drive) . I've reinstalled all the apps at considerable time and effort, and Microsoft actually told me 2004 is not compatible with all computers. There is a blank "program" (no icon) that appears every so often for reasons I can't determine. If I right-click and check settings for it, the link is: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ApplicationFrameHost.exe Why is that system executable creating this blank dock? Can I prevent it from doing so?

I choose sleep because I don't want Outlook and Chrome (nothing else is running in sleep mode) activity with monitor and all drives off, and have only had this singular issue with DeskScapes...and that's rather rare. I'm updating to Win 10 2004, which didn't auto update and I forgot to force the issue. Since 1903 with all updates and 1909 are identical including system files, I had no reason to update to 1909 and Windows update only updated 1903. We'll see if there

It's rare, but DeskScapes will stop functioning for no apparent reason -- typically when loading from sleep mode. It can still be configured and paused/started from desktop, but it doesn't load videos and the one previously loaded doesn't run. In version 10 a background selected for random playback has a bright green border at left and right ends of thumbprint, but this is also true for whichever background thumbprint is manually selected, so I'm not sure if all of the 20 backgrounds I have selected are actually in the random list. Now that I have desired background for Close button I tried changing background for Minimize in a different color, but it creates background for both Minimize and Maximize. I assume each of three buttons can have individual color?
I notice that windows with progress bar are white background with a darkish green progress bar. Are these set somewhere other than Curtains? I don't see any settings in Curtains for them.
I should add that I've installed Curtains on three Dell XPS computers -- one desktop and two laptops. The correspondence here was for the former. The laptops installed with correct Start buttons, but one used PNGs in Start10 and the other used PNG in Curtains style folder. All Windows 10. I have no explanation for this.
The problem is it doesn't appear that Curtains recognizes Start10 Start button PNGs, it only sees PNGs that are in the Style folders in Curtains. Start says it's using PNGs from Curtains but Curtains actually has control of the Start button graphics files. Fixed! The PNG for Curtains, not Start10, determines what is shown on Taskbar. By renaming the start-button.png in Style folder to something else and then renaming desired Start button graphic to start-button.png, and then restarting Explorer, the issue is resolved. [e digicons]|-)[

So here is problem. I tried using the graphic above to create the look I want -- no red thank you very much -- by creating a PNG file with different background color, but it didn't work well. Without guide it's not possible to make choices, such as changing color of X in upper right-hand corner to close a window. Do I use Skin Studio for this?
This is what I have and I can't change it to Cursor from WB even though OS is selected in WB.
The Start button won't change from one that is default with Style. I changed WB setting so OS Start button was the default, but that didn't help. Regardless of PNG file selected, the Start button is the one that Style defaults to. Obviously I'm missing something in applying this change.
