I agree with Fleetlord Atvar. In situations where I'm playing a good empire, and a huge penalty vs. huge benefit situation comes up I usually just take the neutral solution, usually ignoring the moral and bonus effects, and take good points from other events. Although, being a fan of the Dune novels, I generally find there are a lot bad effects from killing giant worms ;) [Message Edited]

I noticed something odd. I submitted my first ever game to the metaverse, and the difficulty was listed as suicidal, yet when I started the game, it was listed as cakewalk. It is really bugging me.
