It would be cool if there was a slight chance that after picking the good choice in an event, an unexpected bonus would be given. The only event from the game I can think of right now is the one with the pre-industrial race that lives on the planet you are colonizing, and the good option has you stay away from their lands and leave them alone(I don't remember if this penalizes PQ or what).
