I know that there are a large amount of names for star systems stored in the game. I tried once or twice to play a gigantic galaxy (i normally play medium), and really liked the variety of seeing new places in there. Once back in medium, it grows somewhat tiresome to see things like Wardell (no offense, Frogboy) or some of the 'common' star names time after time. Could you change the code for the next patch (I'm not a programmer, but it doesn't sound too difficult) for the game to draw names

Gut feeling here (totally unconfirmed scientifically) it seems like no matter the size of galaxy/number of planets/number of habitable planets, more will be habitable if there are more civs to start. IE, all things equal, it feels to me like a game with 5 civs starting will have more available planets than 4 civs or 3.
Man... I thought this was going to be about eating babies to curb famine... Bravo! What a great essay, was it by Swift? Its been a while since I've read it (at least those dammned Irish have stopped breeding <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Laugh.gif" border=0 ALIGN
I second the Red/Green/Blue Mars series of Kim Stanley Robinson, they're excellent.

They can be truly beastly....I had fleets of huge ships, each battle-hardened till they had several hundred HPs apiece, with a fleet attack of like 200beam/200 missile and 150 shields....and the pirates ate them for breakfast with a fleet score of several thousand HPs and a 900ish (900!) gun attack. They rampaged, and it took the combined efforts of like 3 civs to bring them down.
I consider those terms to be more or less interchangeable, but I don't believe the game does. I could notice my planet approval rating at X% and build a happines item (like 0-Grav Stadium) but it doesn't seem to change, or could be plugging constructors onto a yellow 'morale' resource to build up its bonuses, but can't really understand such bonuses...could someone tell me what the difference is between these terms?
