Ahh, ok. Thanks. I did a quick search through the forum posts and didn't see it mentioned so I thought it was worth posting. Glad to know that the Stardock team is aware of it. Time to start another game... Druuush the Conqueror

Hi all, Just finished an awesome game where I had the luxury of choosing to go for a tech, influence or a military victory. I chose to wipe everyone out. As usual, I'd like to say that I love this game and thank Stardock for making it. I'm looking forward to the expansion. I noticed something that seems to be a bug while playing through this game. I built the "Galactic Privateer

Nah - it works fine outside the game. Besides - when I first encountered this problem I changed the batteries to two fresh sets to make sure that wasn't the problem. It's definitely something associated with the game. As I said, the problem only starts to occur at the point where the Stardock logo screen comes up. G

I know it has been a while, but I finally have a relatively calm Saturday and got around to trying your suggestions for getting the wireless mouse to work in GalCiv II. Unfortunately, I had no success. I unplugged the receiver and plugged it back in several times as well as pressing the connect button on the bottom of the mouse several times. The mouse behavior would seem to get better right after I plugged the receiver back in or pressed the connect button, but a few seconds later

Hi, I'm using a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 and seem to be having some problems with it in-game. Specifically, it works very sporadically, sometimes not at all. Occasionally I can get the cursor to move, but it is not reading the input correctly and either moves very slowly or jumps around the screen. It works fine outside the game but just to make sure, I changed the battery and verified that I wasn't missing a driver upgrade for it or anything. (I'm not.) I tried

Hi, Let me just start by thanking you for making Galciv 2. I've been anxiously awaiting it since Galciv 1 and my only complaint is that I wish I had more time to play it. I have a suggestion. Perhaps you're already doing this behind the scenes, but I suspect you aren't. One of the ways that information can be abused in the game is v

EtherMage: Aha - this is what I was looking for! I never thought of morale improvements as a regrowth accelerator after an invasion offload. Definitely useful. I'm not sure that these morale improvements are _necessary_ however for a military conquest type game. Once I get into the combat ship/transport loop, my morale stays under control and I usually just roll over the enemy anyway. Gonna make use of it next time I play a more peaceful role in the galaxy, however. Thanks.

CypherPax: As far as destabilization is concerned, I usually have all my serious opponents (The ones that are less than "friendly" with me.) on the first or second step up the slider. Depending on my economy and the stage of the game this will usually be somewhere in the 8-20bc range. I'm not sure if this has any significant effect on their overall progress, but if it behaves anything like espionage, the long-term buildup of destabilization funds should have an effect eventually.

Galciv Observations Ok, a few things: 1) This is long. I had a lot I wanted to say about this game because I find myself thinking about it a lot. I’m sure most of this information has already been provided somewhere. 2) I’m by no means one of these gifted players that puts it on Maso and dukes it out. I have two game scores in the Metaverse for a total of around 9500 points. I’m not writing this to be a big-shot or to prove that I’m good or anything, I’m writing this to

Wow, I just won my first game on a medium map at challenging difficulty. What a game it was! I can't wait to play on painful. Best point in the game: Near endgame. Only me, the Arcaens and one minor race left. The Arcaens send me the classic message: "You are militarily weak, now we will spank you." Little did they realize, I had Terror Star tech. and 8 spare constructors sitting next to a starbase that was in a quadrant right next to the majority of their planets. (T

Hi, First, let me say that I love this game! I'm currently playing a medium map at challenging difficulty and I think I'm on my way to winning my first game at this level. What a ride it has been! (Can't wait to bump all the AIs up a notch in intelligence...) My question about propaganda is this: Why is it that after I set the propaganda slider, it does not stay locked at the % value I assign it? I searched through the propaganda threads and found one that suggested thi
