What's this in the changelog notes then: + More difficulty levels: Dunce at the lower end, Godlike and Ultimate at the higher end. Not listed in the AI intelligence levels in-game, either. redly

Which game files? I only see custom race files in the My Documents\My Games\Galciv2 directory. I'm looking to change the default races, and I don't see those in the main game directories. redly EDIT: nevermind, found it. raceconfig.xml. Think I might have some fun with that. After backing it up of course <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN=

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there is an option somewhere in the game (or a way to edit a file or something) to have the races have a random (or at least temporarily different) ethical alignment? I'm getting tired of the Drengin always being evil, or the Terrans(?) always being good...Would be a nice change of pace to have them differently aligned. I thought I remembered the original Galciv having this feature but I can't find it on 2. Or, I'm just blind. <img src="smiles/Smile.gif" border=0

Okay, so the confusion lies in that you can only sort by ONE attribute at a time, correct? I was under the assumption we were sorting by THREE at a time. They really need to change that.

I've done this and they still don't show up for me. I'm logged in, set my character to default, and am using both IE and Opera. Once in a blue moon they pop up for me but thats it.

I'm in a "challenging" game right now (for first time) and WAS getting my arse kicked, but then found 5 Lucky Ranger ships (yes 5) in the next 10 turns or so....Was playing a race with +25 luck trait...Seems something "triggered" the finding of the ranger ships and as far as I know, will continue through the game...I was able to counterattack my enemies, take a few planets, and then make a peace treaty with all my hostiles...so its a brand new game now.... Luck seems too overpowered.
